Default grapefruit

Hi,

I bought some Del Monte grapefruit in lightly sweetened water. If I used the NI, it comes up to 3 pts! If I drain the fruit and don't drink the water, can I count it as free fruit?I'm sure the grapefuit did not soak up any sugar, right?

TIA
Bonnie

You know what the rules are. You can track how you want. And you now know to read the ingredients before buying.

Let your weight loss (or lack thereof) be your guide.

(I'm pretty sure the fruit can soak up sugar.)

The grapefruit did soak up sugar you and must count points for them. Why didn't you just buy a nice fresh grapefruit?

I drained my grapefruit and counted it as one point. 3 seems like unnecessary punishment to me. 1 TBSP of sugar is 1 pt, so 1 seems reasonable.

Citrus doesn't agree with me, so I eat it rarely. I like grapefruit the best as it is not too sweet.
