I never thought I'd consider herbal tea a treat, but I absolutely love Celestial Seasonings Bengal Spice tea.
It is sort of like chai but without the tea leaves. If you let it steep for a while, the flavors of cinnamon, clove, and vanilla get intense and delicious. If I'm feeling indulgent, I might add a spash of cream.
This tea has a lovely natural sweetness; no Splenda needed!
No! It tastes quite different because its got no tea leaves at all. Its got cinnamon, chicory, carob, vanilla, ginger, cardamom, black pepper, cloves, and nutmeg.
Chai tea is also quite nice. We have a chocolatey herbal chai (no "real" tea) that DH really enjoys, and is naturally caffeine free, we often enjoy it in the evenings after supper.
I prefer real tea, but will enjoy chai from time to time.
