Default Weightloss Challenge For All You Movie Buffs

Every year I look forward to the Academy Awards. When I lived back home, it was a special night my husband and I shared with his parents who were also big movie buffs. We would all fill in our ballots and place a wager as to who would guess the most winners. Part of the excitement of the night was getting dressed up in a pretty dress and doing my hair and makeup. This year, of course, I don't fit into my pretty dress. My challenge to all you movie buffs is to lose enough weight to fit into your favorite outfit that's been hanging in your closet. Deadline, February 27th Oscar night! You can celebrate by throwing a bash and having a blast that night! My goal is to lose another 15lbs by that date. Anyone else on board?

I'm in! I wanted to fit into this dress by the end of march, so if I can do it by february... the sooner the better!
I want to lose 12 pounds by then.

Well, It's been about two weeks and I have lost 4lbs. I am quite happy so far. I haven't been exercising so I decided to kick it up a notch and incorporate the treadmill, stretching, push ups and sit ups. Occasionally will do the dvds too. Woohoo! I am so excited! At this rate, I am confident I can lose the 15lbs by Oscar night.

I am so happy this morning I stepped onto the scale and I am down 6 pounds. I am convinced that I will reach my goal to lose 15 pounds by February 27th. I am doing the Slimfast plan and calorie counting and I find I am much less willing to gorge on high calorie foods. I'm just not as hungry as I used to be. I am also learning to stop eating before I feel stuffed. I was so hungry yesterday when I got back home from work because I didn't have an afternoon snack. I made a pasta dinner for the family and fixed myself a small bowl. I was still hungry after that but decided to stop at the one serving. Twenty minutes later, my hunger went away! I drank some water with Nestea 5 calorie mix in the evening and had 1/4 cup of nuts, later just a couple of crackers with hummus. I didn't feel like eating the whole box, so that is a good sign! Can't wait to fit into my shirts again. Right now my arms are too big but that will change soon!

I too am focusing on portion control.. It was hard at first but now it's just becoming natural I guess. I'm in love with the mango green tea crystal light. It sounds a little gross but it's wonderful!! I'm about 5 pounds down so far.

Default one more pound lost!!

I've lost seven pounds so far and I am so psyched! I can already see a difference in the size of my belly. The only obstacle right now is that I ran out of Slimfast powder. I ordered some from Well.ca but it will be two weeks before it gets here. ARGH!!

Slimfast is working for me. It's loaded with vitamins and I don't have to think about what I'm going to eat every meal that would be 250 calories. In between I snack on melons or veggies. I have a decent meal for supper, I try to skip the potatoes or saucy noodles. If I'm hungry, I usually slice up some bell peppers and dip them in low fat ranch dressing. I have a confession to make though. I also love slimfast because it's sweet!

I was sweating getting on the scale this morning because I broke and ate three pieces of pizza for lunch yesterday. (they were small pieces. Ok that doesn't make it any better) I thought I was going to throw up after, I'm not used to eating that much anymore. I was still full at night so I skipped dinner and went to bed early so I wouldn't snack. I thionk my tactic worked, I am still on track and am down another pound. Phew!

Im all for it, my plan is to lose 25 pounds by the summer so I can feel good on my vacations this year. But a smaller goal setting for 27th Feb sounds good. Maybe I'll try to lose 8 pounds by then.

I've just signed up to a new diet plan which lasts 30 days so this will be nice.
