Is Pacific Natural Foods the only commercial brand of oat milk? I kept reading about how oat milk is one of the creamiest milks, and as I'm looking for dairy substitutes, I've been trying to find unsweetened versions of various milks till I find one I'm okay with for my cereal. And it both doesn't have an unsweetened version (and original has a LOT of sugar) and it says "Low-fat," which makes me wonder if it's even creamy anymore. I was wondering if there's any other brands available.

It's the only brand I've ever seen in stores. Too bad it's so sugary, because it tastes awesome on cereal! Not really good for coffee, a little grainy. I hear the stuff isn't so hard to make, maybe you could give that a shot and use little or no sweetener? Bound to be lots cheaper too!

Have you thought about making your own? it is really easy.

I also believe Whole Foods has their own oat milk, I think they may even have an unsweetened version.

What's it taste like? I'm really having a heck of a time finding a dairy substitute to pour on my cereal. I don't drink milk alone, it's just the cereal! I find that I enjoy just about ALL the milk substitutes in things, like in mashed potatoes, or smoothies, or anything that has other flavors in it. Then all the subtle tastes I don't like about them are masked.

Rice milk, almond milk, and soy milk all had an odd chalky aftertaste. I tried the So Delicious Coconut Milk and it didn't have an aftertaste but almost tasted watery to me. I want something rich. Something creamy.

Edit: The coconut milk is slowly growing on me. That might be something I could like in the long run.

The Oat milk is naturally that sweet--there is no added sweetener! When we break down the oats to create milk they convert to sugars, which makes the product naturally sweet. So it is low fat and creamy (and delicious)!

How do they convert to sugars?

Hi not sure if you can get it where you are but other oat milks are oatly- its Swedish. Alpro do an oat milk too and there is a company called Rude which do one. There are a few organic versions, I think Rude is organic and Oatly have an organic one too.
