Question Energy???

So I don't know if I'm going throught caffiene withdrawls or what (soda), but I have absolutely no energy when I stay on plan! Right now (2:45) I am up to 620 calories. I plan on having about 400 or so for dinner. I'm just wondering if this is normal or what is going on. I had a chicken sandwich for lunch so I don't think it's lack of protien. Any insight would be helpful!! Thanks

Could definitely be the caffeine. Giving up soda was brutal for me... but after a week, it balanced out.A bigger concern, may be the total calorie intake. If you add the 400 calories from your dinner tonight... you are only going to be at just under 1100 calories. Is that enough? It might be something you look into. It looks like we are similar weights and heights. When I was researching, for our size, we needed in the neighborhood of 1700-2000 calories. It may be a contributing factor. Congrats with the 25 lbs lost so far.

When I feel l like that, it's a sign to me that I am not eating enough. When I up my calories I feel so much better. It might not be that for you, but I definitely notice when I am not eating enough.

I know, most people say that when they don't eat enough calories, they tend to feel tired - but not me. I feel crazy with energy - as if my body is in a "must find food - no sleep" mode. I only feel tired when I eat too much.

If you are like me, then I'd say its definitely the caffeine. I would probably try some smaller workouts during the day if you are at home and mostly sedentary - maybe that would help with the energy? If you are in an office, then I don't know.

One other thing, as a fellow calorie counter, 1020 is really tough. Why so low?

I think you aren't getting enough calories. You're an inch taller than me and I know when I was heavier and starting out, I had to have 1800 calories. Good calories. What are you eating? You say you've had 640 odd calories, but of what? I could drink that much in just about anything and not feel any form of energy. Tell us what you're eating, it might help us tell you what you might need to get more energy.

Sounds like caffeine withdrawl. I had the same symptoms and no energy when I was not dieting. I cant imagine doing it on your restricted calories. It lasted about 3 months for me and was worse than quitting nicotene. Eventually I decided I couldnt do it and threw in the towel. I drink black tea now which is less caffeine and no calories.

I don'r purposely have calories super strick like that, I'm just so afraid of going over and eating too much. I suppose it's my old eating disorder trying to rear it's ugly head. But now that i know that some of you had problems with caffeine withdrawl, I don't feel so alone.

bonnie, the exercise is definately a good idea!! I seriously don't do enough of that

thanks y'all

I think it is a combo of not eating enough calories and caffeine withdrawal. At your start weight and height you should be eating more like 1800 or more per day. Here is a good calculator:
