My immediate goal is to work on eating more meat. It is hard for me to get down (just had my surgery 12/14) so I tend to eat things that are easier to get down. But I know meat is so much more rich in protein, and I really could use something else in my diet besides cottage cheese, refried beans, and string cheese!
My 2nd short-term goal is to lose 100 lbs. I've lost 29 lbs since I started my pre-surgery liquid diet 12/4, and my surgeon said I could potentially lose 100 lbs in 3 mos, if I stick to the diet and exercise recommendations. Once I meet my 1st 100 lb goal I am going to buy myself an iPod Touch.
I have wanted one for a long time, and my fiance said I should just buy myself one after I had the surgery, as a reward for having the surgery, but I decided to delay my gratification. That's what losing weight is all about, right? Delaying the gratification of eating something tasty for the gratification of being healthy and thin?
My other goals include getting a job, saving for my wedding in May, and saving for plastic surgery once I reach my goal weight.
My highest weight was 463 so I know I am going to have some extra skin to be removed once I lose all my weight.
