Exclamation Don't want to backpedal

So I've been eating 1,236 to lose 2lb per week. I've been doing that for...1 week and 5 days. I feel OK for the most part, but I've been feeling like my blood sugar is low a lot, and have too many of those "I need to eat now because I'm seeing spots and might pass out" moments. I just think it's too low for me.It COULD be, however, that I've cut out a lot of bread and pasta and am just not getting enough carbs, but I'm working on that, too.

I'm at 171 (.6/.2 depends on the day) lb right now. I'm wanting to change my calories to 1,736 to lose 1lb per week. Does that sound like a healthier number of calories to eat, 1,736? I don't want to undo all the progress I've made and gain a bunch of weight back before I even get to 170/169... I try to drink 5-6 glasses of water a day and exercise for 30-40 minutes.

Should I stay on 1236 calories until I reach 169lb, then switch to 1,736? Will I have to up my exercise to keep losing weight? It seems like every time I have to alter my caloric intake, I forget everything I've learned and have to start over and come ask for help here. Sorry everybody.

Here's my loss for the entire time, so maybe you guys can help me see if I'm just bouncing or stalling or backpedaling or what. I know a week isn't that long to see though.

during the times you are feeling the spots before your eyes, blood sugar drop thing you do need to eat something. I am doing the calorie cycling and it is working very well. It's not perfect I have very hungry moments especially in the afternoon sometimes. Sometimes an orange makes me feel better. Or a hot drink like low calorie cocoa or coffee. Sometimes if I am really sinking I will eat a slice of toast with a small amount of peanut butter on it. We want to lose weight definitely...but we want a strong healthy body too.
I also keep a weight loss diary and it does seem to bounce back and forth as it is going down. I realize now this is normal because I have done this for months and yet I am losing weight. Your numbers look like you lost a Lb. during that amount of time. That is really good. Some weeks may be 1, 2 or none.
You could bounce back and forth from 1400- 1700 daily calories until you find that perfect place where you are losing and yet feel as if your getting enough food. You will figure out what works best for you.

I also like the idea of a calorie range. Some days, I feel that I can eat much less than others. If you're going to up your calories, it's better to do it before you lose anymore weight since the more you lose, the less calories you need. I would prefer to exercise more and eat more calories and feel good and strong. Feeling faint doesn't seem like a healthy way to go, nor something you can maintain long term. Also, make sure that what you're eating is nutritionally dense and as minimally processed as possible.
