Default Frustrated--Help Me Through!

I have been doing WW at home for about 3 weeks. The first week I lost 4 pounds, which I am sure was all water. Since then, NOTHING. Up, down, up, down, but I never get past that 4 pounds. What gives? I get 31 points a day and usually eat them all. I am eating very well and I log everything. Yesterday, I took a typical day and logged in it Fitday. It showed that day was a little over 1800 calories. Is that too much? I am not eating any crap. Am I just being too impatient? I am also exercsing almost everyday for about a 1/2 hour or a little more. Give me some advice. I do not want to quit, but it's frustrating.

Hi Cheryl - I feel your pain. I'm not on WW - just eating MUCH cleaner (less processed, more natural) and really keeping a watch on my fat, sugar and salt content. I've started increasing my excercise this last month and while my clothes are getting loose - the scale barely budges! It is deflating - BUT...I'm staying the course. When I do - I get rewarded with a scale that keeps trending SLOWLY down to one-der-land!!! Hang tough girlfriend! Jody

Mind posting a daily menu? You might be eating too many carbs and not enough protein? Are you also drinking enough water? What exercise are you doing?

Also - and I'm sure you've heard this before - take your measurements so you CAN see the difference in inches vs. pounds - just another way to measure your progress. Hang in there, drink your water, and don't get down on yourself at all! Hang in there!

As said previously, make sure that you are drinking all of the water that you are supposed to. That has always made the biggest difference for me when I would get stuck and the scale wouldn't move.

The day that I tracked in Fitday I was:

Fat (29%) Carbs (38%)
Protein (34%) Alcohol (0%)

Exercise is walking at least one mile a day up to 3
Water, I get in about 60 ounces. I know I need more.

Don't give up! The scale will move! 1800 calories should not be too much. I would focus on increasing your protein and your water. Be sure to eat all your points. If you are exercising I would track your exercise points and eat them occasionally. I know it sounds counter-intuitive to eat more but I find that when I eat a little more (either the flex points or the exercise points) I tend to lose more. So I usually eat my points (the 31 for you) each week and then every other week or so eat an "extra" 10-15 points in the week. Some weeks I lose a little and some weeks I loose more but I have averaged right at 2 pounds a week so far. GOOD LUCK AND HANG IN THERE!

Drink more water, and more fruit/veggies. Don't give up, you'll see a loss eventually!

I find when I keep my carbs under 35% I start to lose- ideally 25-30% works for me.

What kind of carbs are you eating? Anything white totally hinders my weight loss
