Today was my weigh in this morning. 244.2 I'm up 3 lbs.
I'm not freaking out at all. I'm not angry. I think I understand. I had a HUGE loss last week with 8lbs so I was half expecting my body to rebound a little and, as I am reading and learning, my body could be retaining water for whatever reason it sees fit. ha ha ha
So the victory that I am having today is that 5lbs has actually stayed off for 2 weeks and that's 2.5 a week and that's right in line with my plan to reach goal and start maintenance.
I'm wondering if anyone else weighs in on Monday? Here's to everyone having a good weigh in!!
I weigh in today too!!! Came on to see if anyone else had weighed in today as well LOL GMTA I copied this from my blog!
This past week I have lost a total of 11.2 pounds!!! I know that its a great loss but I feel discouraged because this is what I had lost Saturday morning. Sunday I lost 6 ounces and today I gained them back. UGH!!! I thought I did so well this weekend, making healthy choices when we went out to eat. Oh well I hope I continue losing weight this week!!
I forgot to mention that I weigh myself everyday, but my official weigh in days are on Mondays...Although I know some people won't agree with this, I have found it is a big time motivator! If I see myself losing I know I am doing something right. If I gain I know I need to change what I did the day before. It really helps me along!!
I missed my Sunday weigh in, so maybe I can be an honorary Monday weigher inner? ;-)
Was disappointed today, though, because I'm up 2 pounds. Even though I know its from, *ahem*, monthly water retention and this happens every single month, I still feel bummed about it!
I weigh myself on Mondays, but don't count it as my "official" weigh-in - y'all are brave for weighing in right after the weekend! Good job Vixsin for keeping the fluctuations in perspective, and chin up, Jackie, it is almost inconcievable you could have created a calorie deficit large enough to lose 11.2lbs of fat (that would be almost -40,000 calories in one week!!), so your body is naturally going to fluctuate and bounce around with water weight, etc.
I also weigh in officially on Mondays - I am down 4.0 lbs! Since this is my first week back on plan since I finished my thesis, a big loss is to be expected. I am thrilled, however! That leaves me with only 12 lbs to get back to goal weight. I am travelling this week to visit my mother, but fortunately for me, she and I are on the same plan! This week should be a breeze!
Erin-Yeah absolutely. I made a DRASTIC change this past week. I used to eat approx 4,000 calories a day never exercised never drank water. So I was expecting a big weight change. AND I got my TOM on Monday, my first weigh in day, it went away on Saturday so of course I had something going on there with my weight LOL Thanks for the encouragement though!!!
I'm a Monday WI too. Always have been for some reason. I'm just re-starting my weight loss, so I was only down 1/2 lb today, but it's a start, right?!?! (LOL) Will this be a permanent Monday WI thread?? I'd love to have somewhere to be accountable.
I weigh in on Mondays too! Today I am 166lb, only a pound lost since last week which is a bit dosappointing seeing as I burned 3500 cals at the gym this week...I worked very hard. Food is sorted now so I know I didn't eat too much. Bit disheartened really as I though I'd see at least 2lbs

You lot are all doing brilliantly, well done!

Dont get down on yourself AB!!! You still lost a pound!!! That is awesome stuff. You are doing a great job. Nice work on getting the food sorted out, that is ALWAYS the hardest part for me. It seems that we all are plugging along.
We don't want really dramatic losses. We need to LOVE the small losses because they are still a loss! We are doing great!
