Default Very Small Step Today...But I Feel So Proud!

Today, I picked up Arby's for my husband and his co-workers, and DIDN'T get any for myself!!! I was hungry, but instead went home, worked out, and made a yummy Greek salad. I know this may not sound like much, but I've been able to keep my calories in line for the last 3 days and it feels great! Anyone else have a tiny step they can be proud of?

That IS a victory!

I had 2 today. One, I passed up several opportunities to buy and eat junk snacks. Two, I was very hungry yesterday and DID eat too much bread. But today I was back on plan. That doesn't sound like much, but I usually use days like that to throw in the towel, planning to get back on plan " at a better time" when I'm under less stress.

Congratulations on your big tiny victory!

Awesome ladies!! It always feels so great when you overcome any urge to do something that you know will make you feel guilty or like crap for later on!

I did this yesterday! I find the urge to buy Reese Peanut Butter cups so strong when I'm in a store so I just avoid it. I went to pick up a diet coke and a coke for my fiance (they were on sale) and didn't even look at them. (But I was thinking about them!)

that's fantastic! it's so hard to pass up that kind of stuff, especially when it's sitting right in front of you, and especially if you're getting it for other people. congrats!

Congrats Tina I would actually call it a BIG step if I were you. Anytime you can laugh in the face of temptation it's a huge accomplishment. Keep up the good work girl!

Thanks everyone! I hope you all accomplish mini-goals today. They can seem so trivial, but in the end those little things are what help you really loose the weight!

Stefanie- Way to go! Desserts are my big thing too...candy, cookies, ice cream...they are all huge vices. I've kept berries and FF Cool Whip in the house for just such occasions

Congrats to all of you girls..........

It is definitely not easy. Yesterday was Catfish at the local restaurant. I was very tempted to have supper there but I did not. I knew that If I went there the temptation to have all you can eat like I used to do would be to strong. Instead hubby and I chose to go to Ryan's. The last time I ate there I came home and counted all calories and carbs. Over 1400 calories and I don't remember the carbs. Last night 503 calories and 18 carbs.

That was a big accomplishment for me to eat out and stay with in my limits.

You go girls

You inspired me-- My mini-goal for the day was I decided to take pizza into work today for my co-workers from my absolute favorite pizza place. Just to make sure I didn't have any, I ordered 1 w/pepperonni and 1 w/ham (I'm a vegetarian). It took all of my will power to order them that way, but I did it and I was super happy for my little victory.

I guess I can call it a mini-goal...for my 2nd meal instead of eating the pizza that my co-workers had here from Pizza Hut, I went to Kroger and got a Smart Ones pizza. I was gonna be bad so I bought myself a very small (the 33 cent kind) bag of Doritos...I ended up giving it to a co-worker.
