Default Help! Looking for a free DETAILED exercise tracker

I want to track my progress to ensure I'm getting a balanced workout and push myself. For example, if I'm doing cardio, I want to record what program (video, machine, training method, etc.) and any metrics available (steps taken, intervals, etc.) Or, if I'm doing strength training, I want to track my program, reps, weights, muscle groups covered, etc.

Tried BWM, fitday, sparkpeople, and dailyplate - didn't see a lot of room for that stuff. Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks.

I just downloaded iFitness for my iPhone, they may have a website too, but it seems pretty detailed.

http://www.runningahead.com/

It is primarily a running website but you can create all kinds of custom workout types and sub types. (ie. you could have "Video" as a type and have different videos as subtypes. The front page charts are customizable for what you want to display

If you want a preview, click on the part of my signature that says "my running log"
(by the way in weights you can track all the exercise/rep stuff, I just dont except sometimes in the notes so dont use my "weights workout" as the example of what you can do)

Ennay, will this site let you track a custom calorie burned amount? I use a Heart Rate Monitor, and prefer to use those numbers then the ones calculated for me and most sites will not let me override the calories burned

You could only do it in the notes, calories burned is not a field it has you enter.

It only lists calories (I believe) if you enter a weight and an Avg HR for the workout. I dont think there is a way to override that or the formula it uses. It never shows calories burned on my workouts since I dont enter that info.

Bummer. Thanks for the response . I do get an Average HR, so I'll still check it out. Maybe the calculations won't be too far apart!

I dont know how/if he does calorie calculation for not running. He is pretty responsive to questions, I think you can contact the owner from the home page and ask him.

Forgot to respond on this thread! Woops. Thanks for the suggestions, ennay and ncuneo. I like to track my own calorie burn like you, Lily.

Maybe I have to resort to excel...
