Default Finally, truly arrived

I am a maintainer for good. My weight will continue downwards a bit more as I have 2 trips coming up. 1 small and 1 large which I could call my dissertation. If I maintain on a western trip of 4,000 miles, 3 weeks, with a family of 6, then I will have passed my biggest eating challenge so far. We will be staying at a variety of accommodations with various food vendors.

Your posts of suggested menus, snacks in purses, fast food selections, etc... have been very helpful. I have tried a few of these ideas while still at home with an eye to traveling. I can get greek yogurt prepackaged in single servings. Blueberries travel very well. With my focus on carbs/fructose I have found that 1/3 cp berries, greek yogurt with 1/4cp of Kashi Go Lean to be very satisfying for many hours. Next week I make up my food plan for 3 wks. That will be my longest time frame for planning.

Thank you so very much for helping me to feel so healthy. What a joy!!!

Congratulations Karen!!! Sounds like you have your trips mapped out (pun intended) for maintaining. I know it's possible to lose weight while traveling so you should be able to maintain. During two trips while I was losing, I made it my quest to lose weight. Whether a 1/2 pound or 5. That didn't matter, just that I lost. Because that would mean I didn't take the trip as a free for Marie to eat all. It is the mind set that matters. You have it so you should be good. Pre-packaged, 100 cal snacks are a great choice.

Congrats, Karen! And Marie really said it for me. I surprised myself by keeping an even tighter reign than day-to-day, on the first few trips. I guess just because I was focusing so hard on not allowing it to derail me.

I'm so glad for you that you're planning it out this way. I think you will feel more empowered and secure than ever after your trip.
