I am working full time and going to school at night. So there isn't a lot of time for exercise. I've been running and walking because they are the most convenient and efficient way to burn calories. However it's boring after a while. So now I have started swimming once or twice a week (pool is rather far and the hours are limited). I am thinking of taking up kayaking.
Anyone else who has found fun ways to exercise that doesn't feel like exercise?
I started off with water aerobics and then as a reward for all my hard work I signed up for adult swim lessons. After a couple of private lessons I was ready for group adult swim lessons.
Can I even begin to tell you how much I enjoy swimming???!!!???? This is not exercise, it's FUN! Okay, it does burn calories and tone my body so I guess strictly speaking it IS exercise.
Yes, I have found my exercise without feeling like I'm exercising. I am at the pool 4-6 times a week, with my goal being 6 times a week. Still taking group swim lessons and getting better every time I go.
