Default Spotting after running?

I went hiking and did some jogging today...and now I am spotting. I don't know if it is my period, I can't remember what day this month I had my period, but I think I had it...and I don't have cramps now, so probably not my period.
I am not pregnant or on BC or anything. I am on medicine for hypothyroid...
Does anyone else experience "spotting" after vigorous exercise?

Could you be ovulating? Some of us spot during ovulation.

I've read a thread elsewhere about runners spotting, but I don't think it was on this forum. Maybe Google around for that & see if you can find something.

I read your post because I'm a freak who's had her period twice this month, with just 10 days between, but I am likely older than you are & heading into hormonal chaos. I get an hour of cardio done every day but it never leads to spotting unless my period just ended & I thought it was all over & it actually wasn't completely out the door yet, so to speak.

Thanks for the reply.
Yeah, I've been Googling it alot. It seems common, but I can't seem to decide if I should worry about it or not...some say it is normal and their doctors say its normal...
I am 24....
And sometimes I am not always regular either. I guess it could be ovulation? I never knew it was normal to "spot" between periods...

I know it's a drag but it's really helpful if you track your cycle. Circle the date on your calendar on the first day of your period each time and then write in any abnormalities like spotting in your calendar too. It's good to know your cycle in case you have to go to the doctor. The very first question the doc will ask is "what is the date of your last period" and "how many days is your normal cycle."
