Default Anyone know a good weightloss plan that could work rather quickly but not too crazy.

i am 21 and i have never worn a bikini out of self consciousness mostly, i am not huge but i am very short so having such a large chest makes it difficult to wear bathing suits comfortably. my family and i are moving to florida at the end of july and i would love to be able to fit myself into a cute bikini! perhaps 40 pounds is pushing it but a goal is a goal! does anyone know of any diet plans that have worked for them to lose 25-40 pounds in about 2.5 months? thank you!

Losing that much in 2.5 months? that is alot. I don't know of any plan like that. Losing weight takes time and effort. This board has lots of forums with different lifestyle changes (diets) and I am sure that you can lose some.

Good Luck.

Bad news: there's probably no way to lose that kind of weight in that amount of time even if you did something "too crazy".

Good news: Losing 20-25 pounds will make a much bigger difference than you think it will--you'll go down 2 sizes for sure, and likely 3. You won't recognize yourself in the mirror. Everyone will be shocked and impressed, and you can lose the next 25 lbs by Christmas.

As far as plans go, I strongly recommend calorie counting. It's the cheapest, the most flexible, and is something you can use for life. However, it's something you have to sit down and learn about--read all the stickies in the calorie counting forums, and read threads going back many pages, and read the links to articles people post. One-size-fits all diets never work--you need to design your own plan.

hi, well in France girls usually go for drastic diets, and I believe there's one who decided to eat low fat cottage cheese/low far yogourt the morning (1cup) with berries, for lunch it was grilled fish and salad (no dressing obviously lol) , she'd have dinner at 6pm with only fruits (mostly strawberries & apples, she'd still be picky about her portions!)
She lost 16 pounds in a month and I believe was only getting around 800 cal per day which a bit risky. I think her plan would be good but with more calories, maybe this will get you inspired! Cheers

I think you could do a low carb high protien diet and lose 15-20+ pounds in 2 months without hurting your body.

I agree with the low carb diet but if you can maybe include some exercise. Scale weight might not drop but maybe you can lose inches and tone up.

Unless you are eating only meat, fish and poultry, you can't be doing no carb. There are carbs in vegetables, fruit, dairy...

You can pretty much go swim all year round in Florida if you wanted to... I wouldn't stress out about it all happening in 2 mos.

Just lose what you can in that time, find a cute, flattering suit, and enjoy!

A.

weight training also helps drop size and lbs. Doing an intense weight workout 3 times a week in addition to your cardio and good eating will really help. Keep us posted on your success!

Well dont be to frazzled. You are moving there right? So its not like Florida can move away from you right? You have plenty of time to enjoy wearing a bikini on the beach! good luck to you!!

NO carbs? Your body does need some carbs... for things like brain function... and the energy to do your daily workouts. But like a PP said, carbs are fruits and veggies (not just pasta/bread/rice).
