Default Starting May 17 - Need Advice & Tips & Resources!!

Hi all!

I just placed my order and I am going to start Medifast on May 17 (after a big event). I am hoping you can help - point me to the "MUST READS" and give me any of your tips!

I saw they recommended Walden Farms products, any favorites? I haven't loved the ones I have tried, but always open to trying new ones. Is the PB good in a shake? Any other good ones I should buy?

Any tips on other "survival tips"? Watchouts? Things you would have done diferently?

ANY ADVICE is appreciated!!!

THANKS!!

I don't mind Walden Farms foods. I've had their dressings, bbq sauce and their chocolate and strawberry dipping sauces. Actually, I've only tried the chocolate one...for dipping strawberries. It was fine. You can tell its not REAL chocolate, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do to reach your goals, is what I figure anyway. My DH loved the bbq sauce, so that was good! I like being able to have ranch dressing with no guilt. It's kinda runny, but I didn't mind that.

Anyway...good luck on your weight loss journey!! I'll be starting mine on the 11th...can't wait!

Be ready for headaches. I had them really bad for at least 3 days. Excedrin helped, but I just had to suffer through.
I don't care for walden farms products, I find them "chemical" tasting. I like to use the yogurt based salad dressings and I often mix them with balsamic vinegar to make the calories less.
USE the recipes found here and at Medifast website. I especially like the shake cake recipe and the muffins (using the medifast oatmeal).
In my opinion, the only shake that tastes good is the swiss mocha and the strawberry isn't bad. I love chocolate, but the shakes just aren't quite there--also a bit "chemical", BUT making them into a shake cake is good, like a bittersweet brownie. I do NOT add any splenda to any of the recipes as I find the shakes/oatmeal/puddings to be quite sweet already. I use a square, non stick pan that I make 4 servings of shake cake in, it is easy to cut into 4's and store in baggies in the fridge. Store muffins in baggies in the fridge too.
Stock up on baggies.
The bars are my favorite, followed by the honey mustard pretzels, the scrambled eggs and of course the recipes. The chili is good enough and the chicken noodle soup is good. (and I don't like regular chicken noodle soup, noodles are always too soggy for me)
I found the cheese puffs to be disgusting. The oatmeal eaten as oatmeal is also gross, but made into muffins is good.
Good luck!
