Mine has thankfully not deployed, but my husband is air force. My father was air force, my 2 oldest brothers were air force, and my youngest brother is navy and recently back from deployment. So, my life is pretty military and I can understand your stress. All you can do is one day at a time.
This is by far the toughest thing I have ever endured in my life. Not knowing is the worst part. When will I get my next email, when will I hear his voice and when is he coming home? And for each passing moment that he isn't contacting me I wonder if he is safe. This is the first time I've been with someone in the military, first deployment I'm going through so I'm an emotional wreck. Well we've been friends for over 5 years and when he left before it wasn't a big deal but we fell in love recently and he had to go right after we became a couple. I'm so tempted to just drown my sorrow with food and fighting that temptation is hard too.
