Hiya ladies...

Thought I would start a new thread since we were over 100 posts.

Went to kids games this morning and now I am sneezing my head off...darn allergies. Can't get out in this wind and not sneeze.

Meant to post more but I've had one heck of a week and wasn't really in the mood to talk. Last Sunday was V's birthday and I had dinner and of course it ended in disaster. My mother left Monday morning but not because of that or me even though we don't get along as well as I would like. But she came and left too soon and we didn't have much of a visit, didn't do anything. To top it off V received a layoff notice Thursday...yeah, we were having a wonderful week, lol. Oh well, life goes on

On a lighter note I walked 4 days last week which was good and always better than nothing. Now if I could just get the food in sync with the exercise. Never used to be a stress eater but I have noticed the last few years I definitely am. Going to mow the backyard later for exercise and because it needs it. Or that is the plan anyway...who knows when 6:30 rolls around if I will feel like it still. Anyway...

SUE...glad your mother is feeling fine. Wow, two weeks of air conditioning that is great! We may be going without the air conditioner this summer no matter the temps just to cut back, ugh. Of course have had it on the last two weeks off and on but today had to turn the heat back on...it was pretty chilly. Hope you get to get some walking in.

SUSAN...I moved around a lot when the first hubby died, was kind of lost and I guess trying to find myself and where I felt I belonged. Kids suffered and I feel bad for them now...I should have just stayed in one place so they could have finished at the same school with the same friends. Bet you are excited about the Hawaii trip!!! I am excited for you!

SASSY...did you get the school and work schedules figured out? Sorry I can't remember all that was said and my lazy arse doesn't want to go back and look. When will you start your job.

JULES...thinking of you lady. Lots of prayers and hugs to you and yours.

HIYA Anne, Katy, Kathy, Mindee and anyone I missed

I am going to go finish reading my book and probably nap...feel like I got up too early for some reason. Same time I've been getting up but have felt so pooped the last few days. Anyway...hope everyone has a good weekend!

Sounds like you had a bear of a week Cristina, I'm sorry Thanks for the new thread. Amazing how much we have all been through in the last few years on this site, can't believe we are headed for the #100 thread. Yay, us.

I feel bad for Gab too but at least she will be in the same school district even though next yr all the 3rd graders will go to a new school as a group. I promised her a bedroom set w/ an extra bed, that way she can have sleep overs. And it is a 300 unit complex, I know a lot of kids will be there for her to play with,,,,cross fingers.

anyway, have to get back to work!!

My family spent yesterday attending a band competition for my younger daughter. Her band did very well...they earned 1st place in their division and also won over-all Grand Champions for the entire contest (about 20 bands competed!) This is the 4th year in a row her school band has completed in that contest and won both 1st and Grand Champion. Her director jokes that they are not going to let our band enter any more!! Her director is wonderful! He is a retired High School band director, with a band of his own. He really works with the kids to bring out the best they can do. We are lucky to have him!
I had a whoosh this morning...I am down 2 full pounds!! I expected to be up since I was not in my normal element!!
Sue-I look forward to the summers! I am a full-time mom for the summer time! You may be close to where I am at in Illinois...we seem to be experiencing the same weather you talk about. I am in Northern Illinois.
I am looking forward to getting some flowers planted soon. I like to have flowers around the yard! It was very cool last summer~but not good for the pool! We used the heater quite often last year! Soon we will be opening the pool for the year.
Have a great day everyone!

Weigh In day! 173..yay - getting the recently acquired fluff off! I'm really behind, so sorry if I've missed anything major
Cristina - sorry about your bad week...hope this one is going better for you (((((Hugs)))))))

Susan- Glad you found a new apartment..bye bye cranky landlords! Gaby is resilient...I moved around alot when I was young, but I settled into a school by third grade, and that was okay with me. Every kid is different about this sort of stuff aren't they?

Anne- Congrats on the loss! Keep up the good work...bet you are looking forward to summer break I know we are!

Hi to Sassy, Mindee, Jules ( hope your mom is doing better - saying prayers for her), Katy, and Sue... Hope you are all having a great week!

Angry Not a happy camper!

I am pissed off!!! Just got a call from the staffing lady who told me that the human resource lady emailed her stated they were "Concerned" because I said I may be a few minutes late next week due to class and exams. (I talked to my manager this morning about it and he said it was fine that they will work around it)
I SEEN AND TALKED too that human resource lady today why couldn't she ask me about then and not go emailing the staffing place about who they know will tell me about it!! UGH that is straight up BS that my old co. would do right there!

I'm so p.oed that I want to just call the staffing lady back and tell her "you know what forget it." But I know I should be the "Adult" and not do that but ok first of all this job is so easy that a freakin monkey could do it so I'm already bored with it and I haven't even really "started" 2ndly if I get a job offer that is in the field I want (healthcare) I'm gonna leave anyways. This is just another little "bonus" to add with it. So I guess I could stick it out until I find something else but they may just let me go anyways! Also my theory is why learn a new job when I KNOW they may be letting me go anyways AND if I get another decent job offer I'm outta there?

I dunno guess I should just sleep on it at least because I am SO pissed right now. I hate that two-faced bs. If you can't say it to my face then just don't say it at all!!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! And all I said was I MIGHT be late a couple days next week due to my Final Exam and Group Presentation.

So I dunno maybe I'm over-reacting but this is the bs that I can't stand. I know I can't be picky in this economy right now but dammit that flat out pisses me off! Then the lady from the staffing place tells me to NOT tell my manager about this! WTF?! So that pees me off as well.

Well sorry this isn't all happy and whatever but just happened to catch me at the wrong time! UGH I'm so mad! I thought today went well! I honestly truly did!

Big to all.

Hello...

ANNE...congrat's on the 2 pounds, woohoo! Wish I was in the mood to plant anything...not even in the mood for any kind of yardwork.

KATY... to 173! And thank you for the hugs...this week is definitely better, so far

SUSAN...is the apartment in the same town or are you moving back to Portland? I am thinking I missed something somewhere. Make sure and give me your new address-please Yeah, Gaby will be fine...she is at an age where the kids make friends easily. Thank you for the hugs too! And yes, we all have been thru a lot and I can't believe we are almost at 100 posts!

SASSY...not a good way to start a job eh? I think there is BS and drama at just about every job. Of course it's totally uncalled for but what can ya do? I wouldn't quit though, but that's me. Of course I say that and I did quit a job because of drama and it wasn't mine...really hate the drama. So how do you like school?

HIYA KATHY, MINDEE, SUE, JULES, FRANCIE, and anyone reading this Hoping all is well with you all.

All is good so far this week *knock on wood* Had a week off from watching Lily and today as well...she had a doctor's appt. girl is growing like a weed! Not crawling yet or sitting up but she is trying. Been walking at the mall almost daily, today included. Also did a dvd...I am trying to get in the habit of doing a 60 mn walk and a dvd but so far the dvd isn't getting done, lol. Working on it though...food is so so and therein lies the problem...the food...I've got to get them in sync with one another. Anyway...

Hoping all is well with everyone in your little corner of the world.

I thought I had posted on here...I am losing my mind.

Good to see you all posting here..now if we can get Kathy, Mindee, Jules, Francie... I know life gets hectic. Mine has been.

Mom has been up and down for two weeks. I am getting frustrated with Drs. and trying not to... today she is hard to talk to, rather incoherent. I don't know what is going on there. She saw the pain Dr. Monday and they are scheduling another injection...lord knows when. Then she was supposed to go for blood work today, but was too sick to get out of bed. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day...then I will call for a new appt. and for her appt. with the Dr. who did her stent last week. She didn't get this sick after the last stent, so I am wondering what is going on. I am tired on top of worried. Can't seem to sleep and it is frustrating.

Today I had to go to town, so left DH in charge. I took a plant back to Lowe's and went to Kohl's. Got a slate top table for the porch and finally found a pair of capris and a pair of bermudas. I swear...I can wear 12, 14 and 16...depends on the make. I looked for shoes and couldn't find a thing. I think I just needed to get out of the house for a couple hours.....

Okay, tell me what kind of shoes you wear in the summer. I have slides and tennis shoes, but never know what to wear.

Gotta get fixing dinner. I will try to be more positive next time....I am just pooped!

just a pop in to let you know I am thinking of you all..lots of stress....Mom, grown kids and there so's, grandson and another to be, my brother and all he goes through living at work, my hubby, and if work wasn't stressfull enough with being behind spending time with mom...there will be layoffs...one in my dept...they gave us a 4% pay cut last year, next month starts an increase in the medical we pay (which someone calculated to be a 6% pay cut)..I haven't gained but I havent lost and I have been able to get any exercise in with working long hours trying to make up time...I am just soooo tired

Jules..Thinking of you in your time of stress. I am so glad your mom is settling in and that you can spend time with her. Praying for her as well as you and your job/family/grandsons/etc.

I have a better attitude today, but then mom is better, so we will see how long we both feel this way. I didn't really do much today. I cleaned out the closet of some winter things...and some summer things that I just can not face for another year. I have a couple boxes in my car for Goodwill...wonder how long I will chauffeur them around. LOL

I actually feel like going to bed early tonight and trying to catch up now that I won't be getting up so often to check on mom. Ahhhhh, sleep.

Talk to you all tomorrow.

Hello all...

HUGS to Jules and Sue and your mothers.

SUE...I am between the Nikes/tennis shoes and flip flops...I live in both those during the summer.

JULES...bet you guys are getting excited for grandbaby #2. Sorry about work.

SUSAN...$999 Hoping that is a BIG error, has to be. Oh yeah, the way Lily has been the last week you DON'T want one, lol! Charlotte's dad watched her a week and I don't know what he did but she is not the same...having fits and a lot of screaming like she is hurting. I told Charlotte that but I think she thinks I am crazy...whatever. I spend more time with her than she does. Anyway...hoping next week will be better. So are ya getting really excited about Hawaii, getting closer...

SASSY...how is work and school?

HIYA KATY, KATHY, MINDEE, FRANCIE & ANNE

I am pooped...Lily has totally drained me this week. Have managed to get a walk in every day and a dvd a couple of days...just didn't have the energy today for a dvd but plan to do some this weekend but not walk.Other than that...same old, same old.

Have a good one!

Well, mom felt good enough to ride with me to ToysRus. Got Mason a toy box for his BD on the 1st. We met DD for lunch then to another store to pick up some bird feed. Even stopped at the grocery store. I pooped her out, but she felt good. I bet she sleeps well for a change.

I did not get to the shoe store...

Hello all...

SUE...great pictures! A year old already?! Indeed, where has the time gone...they grow too fast don't they? Glad your mother is feeling better...sounds like you guys had a great day of shopping.

I am not feeling so great, ugh. Baby was sick last week but the doc said it was allergies and Chase had a sinus infection. Well, Cambrie had been sick too as well as Josh...you can't catch a sinus infection or allergies from someone else. Anyway, here I am sick. Hoping I can sleep it off and relaz enough that I feel better Monday...if not I am not watching baby. She coughed all day Friday and I told Charlotte from now on when baby is sick I won't watch her...I am tired of getting sick and it seems they are always sick in that house. Anyway...forgot to weigh in this morning. Was trying to sleep in but the dummy next door decided his yard needed mowed at 7:30 this morning...idiot. Can you tell I am in a good mood, lol? Anyway...thinking in between naps I will try and get some reading done.

Have a good weekend all!
