I'm struggling to eat enough calories on induction, as all the protein and fat seems to fill me up quite easily. I eat when I am hungry, until I am full (not stuffed). I am eating only the foods allowed on induction, but I did make a mistake with beans yesterday. I'm averaging between 1000-1100 calories. I'm going to post yesterday and today's menus. Since today is not over, hopefully someone can suggest some additions to meals 3 or 4 to help bump me a bit higher.
April 11th:
Meal 1:
3 oz boarshead all natural tuscan turkey breast, 1/2 ounce boursin cheese
(I'd planned to eat 6 ounces meat, but I had to stop - too full)
Meal 2:
3 oz boarshead all natural roast beef, 1/2 ounce boursin cheese
Meal 3:
1 cup green peppers slices (considered a salad veggie), 1 cup cucumber slices (considered a salad veggie), 1 cup broccoli (my regular veggie), 2oz rotisserie chicken brease, 1 ounce turkey breast,
2 tbsp kidney beans, 2 tbsp chickpeas
(The beans were a mistake. I thought they were allowed
)
Meal 4:
8 oz chicken breast
1 tbsp olive oil
1 ounce boursin
Total Calories: 1051, 19 net carbs
And today, planned for half:
Meal 1:
3 oz boarshead all natural tuscan turkey breast, 1 ounce havarti cheese
Meal 2:
3 oz boarshead all natural roast beef, 1 ounce havarti cheese
Meal 3:
3 cups organic baby spinach
1/4 cup (equivalent of 1 ounce) feta
1 tbsp olive oil
Meal 4:
8 oz chicken breast
1 tbsp olive oil
Total: 1083, 9 net carbs
I try to stay at 3 ounces cheese in case I slightly went over somewhere. I eat my full amount of veggies, and as much protein as I desire. I cook liberally in good fats. I have no idea how to bump my calories without being overly full.
Help!
Thank you!
