Smile Ready to be healthy more than anything...

Hi! I'm Nay Nay and I'm 22 years old. I just graduated from college in december and I gained 60 pounds in college before then I was 190. At my lowest, as a junior in high school I weighed around 177 and i want to get back to 177 hopefully by october or something. My ultimate goal is to be 150 though. Diabetes runs in my family so i kind of feel like I'm fighting a clock because my mom got it in her 20's. I hope that I can be encouraged and be an encouragement to others!

NAY NAY ~ yes, that can happen -- gaining weight while in school. It is a good idea to try and eat healthier esp with diabetes in the family (mine too). It is easier when you are younger too. We have a 20-something thread here you might like to join and we do have a diabetes section in the Dieting with Obstacles Forum that you might like to read (for good info). I was diagnosed with PRE-diabetes myself and have gotten things under control through a healthier diet and exercise (mostly walking).

Take a look around and jump in wherever you feel comfortable ...
