Default So this is gow much I've changed

To celebrate reaching one of my goals I bought myself a cutting board with measuring cups, adjustable measuring spoons and prep bowls with measurment markers (set of six). To top it off I'm so excited for their arrival! This has really been a lifestyle change.

Congratulations!! I never knew kitchen tools and gadgets could be so exciting!! I am really wanting to get one of Rachael Ray's new knives and a set of her lazy spoons! Maybe that will be one of my goal gifts! If you have good utensils and things in the kitchen, I think it makes you want to cook more and therefore be more healthy! But that's just my theory

Congrats again!!

**Did you by chance get that stuff from Pampered Chef? I got a set of those prep bowls for Christmas! I luv em'

I am a HUGE fan of rewarding myself with things that make me more likely to stay on plan...that's a great one! I also love low-cal spices (my favorite source is The Spice House...mmm), gym clothes, and new songs for my iPod.

New cooking tools are such a good reward, because they make healthy food prep so much more fun!

That sounds great!!

I too love "rewarding" myself with new kitchen items.

I think it's VERY important to have the right kitchen gear. It definitely makes all the chopping, dicing and cooking more enjoyable.

You should get the reward of a brand new kitchen with everything you have accomplished.

That's really amazing, congrats. How does it feel to be an inspiration?

Congrats! You'll not only have a spiffy lookin' kitchen, but your reward will be an encouragement to keep up the good work. Great idea!

I was reading the Food Network Magazine and saw some really cool kitchenware for measuring.

Dinner plates with designs to help you with portion control
http://www.slimware.com/

Ladles with 1/8c., 1/4c., and 1/2c. marks.

Smart Bowl (a bit expensive, IMO, but neat)
http://shopmeasureupbowl.com/

I'm probably going to buy the plates as a treat to myself.

That's great I have been giving myself a few regards. I got the digital Biggest Loser digital food scale. My next goal a medicine ball and another set of dumbbells..

I recently received the Rocket Blender personal blender (it's a clone of the Magic Bullet that's seen on late night infomercials) for my birthday (about a month ago I was going to buy it, but called mom to ask how she liked hers and she said she'd buy me one for my birthday present).

So last weekend (after weeks of anticipation) I got my Rocket blender. I love it. I'm finally eating breakfast more regularly, and really enjoying protein shakes and smoothies for breakfast, and it's so quick and easy to clean up.

I love kitchen utensils! I am much more inclined to cook if I have competent tools to work with. I think they are a great reward. I am getting to the point now that I have no room for my kitchen stuff. I live in a fairly small apartment. My kitchen appliances are starting to spill over to other rooms of my apartment. Right now, on my desk in my office, I have my juicer and my waffle iron. My towels and oven mitts are in my bathroom linen closet because my utensils take up too many drawers in the kitchen. My next reward really needs to be a bigger kitchen.
