That seems like a great idea to me. I was always under the impression that the point of the swim suit competition was to show off the athleticism of the girls. However, as we all know, athletic bodies come in many different shapes and sizes, and judging athleticism based on how someone looks in a swim suit just doesn't add up. It's possible to be thin and unfit and larger and fit.
Having an athletic competition makes a lot more sense to me. Granted I think beauty pageants are silly from the get-go, but at least this is a step in the right direction.
