Default Rice Cooker Suggestions

Howdy,
My Black & Decker rice cooker after many years fof faithful service is no more. I cook brown and wild rice, recently a blend of white and brown. I also feed a lot of people so 10 cup capacity is nice.

I read about Vitaclay but it seems to have a lot of problems. I like the teflon easy cleanup. I don't buy the cancer link after reading objective reports.

Suggestions?

Teflon has quite a few issues and I believe 2012 teflon has to be off the market because it is polluting the environment.

I've switched to cooking rice in the oven which is easy and also winter friendly. Not sure what I'll do in the summer, maybe switch to a stovetop rice cooker (I have a clay stovetop rice cooker).

If you want a teflon based one though, I highly recommend Zojirushi. Great brand!

I don't know about health and teflon but I do know that manufacturing of teflon is going to stop within the next few years because it is harmful to the environment which is one reason I don't buy it.

Here is one article about it

And here is the EPA site about the phase out program
