The winter one was 66 days long and ends this week.
I'm used to getting my dairy in every day now - I'm looking forward to working on my fruit/veggie servings if we decide to do a spring challenge.

Start a New Healthy Habit ~ Encourage and Be Encouraged
Win a virtual Award!
Each participant chooses her own goal for this challenge.
Goals can be related to weight loss, exercise or general health and well being. Participants can earn up to 2 points each day - 1 point for updating your thread and 1 point for actually doing the proposed habit.
At the end of the challenge the member(s) with the most points will win our virtual award.
Easter is April 4th, so if we start on the 31st and finish up on Easter we'd have 64 days to get our healthy habits established.
Remember it's a points thing so you'll want to come up with something you'll do every day so you can get your 2 pts/day.
If you're thinking exercise maybe you'd be happy with something like "Fitting extra activity in every day." That way if you're going to the gym 4 or 5x a week you can still get points on your off days by taking the stairs instead of an elevator or parking farther from the store or whatever fits into your life.
My winter one was embarrassingly simple (3 servings of dairy every day) but I'd been drinking/eating maybe 3 servings a week before that and gagging those serving down. Now I've found some ways to drink/eat milk that I really enjoy and 3 servings a day has become a habit.
I am in! I want to be 141lbs by 4/4 and I want to continue my new years resolution of NO SODA! Not diet, regular and no energy drinks.
Oh, that's a really good one.
I go back and forth about giving up soda for good. I've cut back drastically, but I keep reading that research links even 1 diet soda/day to metabolic syndrome.
I keep saying I'll give it up for good 'one of these days'....
So do we commit on this thread by the 30th? I need to put on my thinking cap. Thanks for getting this going Heidi.
Oh no... I just remembered I will be traveling for a week in there. Hmm. That could totally mess me up
Yes, just post here and watch for the official challenge thread on Friday.
We got through Christmas parties and things and New Year's Eve during the winter challenge - you'll do great.

It was and is one of the hardest things I have ever done. I drink a lot of tea now. I wake up every morning and want a Dr. Pepper.
So here was my thinking... Have you ever noticed that its not skinny people drinking diet pop? Its over weight people. I MEAN REALLY OVER WEIGHT! So if its diet, why are they still large?? Because its not really okay for you. Its just as bad as reg soda. And I want to be thin dang it. Not fat drinking and eating diet food!!!
Count me in this time around. 64 days, hmmmm? OK, the wii has made me very upset since it says my BMI is in the "obese" zone. My goal will be to get it down into the "normal" range.
I'm in again. I'm really glad I stuck with the last challenge, and I feel like my new habit has really kicked in solid. I'm still going for home exercise, and would like to focus on a short yoga routine, one I can do when I'm traveling.
ETA-I did recognize that my commitment last time to exercise at home 7 days a week should have been 6, with Sundays off.

Think I can do it?
I'm sure you can do it - but you'll want to think of something smaller/more specific that you can do every day so you'll be able to earn points in the thread.
Maybe play commit to play with "Sassy" x number of days each week?
How about if people who want to do an exercise goal commit to a set amount of days and on their off days just post "Off Day" and still get their 2 pts.... That should work, eh?
