Default Favorite Healthy Snack?

HI everyone!!!!!!!!!

So I went grocery shopping for some healthy snacks, and I actually found some surprising healthy (or healthier) snacks that I like.

My question is, what are some of everyone elses favorite snacks? I like having variety to choose from!

I think right now my favorite are quakers true delights rice snacks. im actually munching on the caramel ones right now! and they're only 60 calories a serving.

i was pretty shocked to see that fruit roll ups are on 50 calories, and havae a high amount of vitamin c in them. the sugar isnt even TERRIBLE. i thought they would be the worst for you (my boyfriend eats like a 5 year old and decided to buy his weight in gushers and fruit roll ups. so much for helping me on the weight loss huh!?)

id love to hear some input!

I'm having a thing with sunflower seeds (in shell). Mostly becuase I can have them in my mouth all afternoon, literally, and an entire bag (the ones I get) is only 160 calories. I almost never go through more than half a bag at a time.

This is my current go to any time I think it's a good idea for my mouth to be occupied...

For me it's cherry tomatoes, celery with light ranch, and oranges. If there's broccoli I'll have some of that too. Yogurt is also a fave.

I recently found these veggie dogs called "Smart Dogs". They're only 1 weight watchers point (45 calories, I think), and packed with protein. And they're pretty tasty, too!

100 calorie bags of JollyTime popcorn! It makes for a really large volume snack and has good "mouth feel". Can I say "mouth feel" on here? What I mean is I get to EAT a lot unlike yogurt (which I do love) that you more or less just swallow without any chewing action. OMG that sounds so weird but hopefully someone will know what I am talking about.

I like homemade pitas with olives and hummus, cucumber salad and air popped popcorn with lots cinnamon on it... I like the popcorn for the same reason as honeybjones, and I eat it probably every day! lol

I've wondered about those caramel rice snacks, sounds yummy

For me, and we're all different of course, but for me, I can't spend my calories on rice cakes and fruit roll ups for a couple of different reasons. I need FILLING power from my food. Those rice cakes don't satisfy me at all, I feel as if I haven't eaten and I have a hard time stopping at a moderate amount, since they don't fill me up. The fruit roll ups - way too high in sugar for me, which would make my blood sugar drop in a short time and again not filling at all - I need something that sticks with me for a bit.

Some of my favorite snacks many people wouldn't think of as snack food, but more as a mini meal.

-egg white omlette with roasted tomatoes, onions, and mushrooms
-apple sliced thinly, sprinkled with cinnamon
-veggie platter (celery, cukes, string beans, sugar snap peas, baby carrots) with a couple of tablespoons of peach mango salsa
-70 calorie bag of lite popcorn
-80 calorie sugar free/fat free yogurt, which I partially freeze, with 1/4 cup fiber one cereal
-cucumber/tomato/red onion salad
-cucumber salad
-tuna with a little mayo served in romaine leaves
-bowl of soup
-bowl of stewed veggies - zucchini, carrots, onions, mushrooms, peppers in a tomato sauce
- clementines
-grapefruit
-roasted broccoli and/or cauliflower
-zucchini ribbons with lemon and parmesean cheese

Wow, I'm going to write these down on a list for my next shopping trip!
I'm really into celery sticks and cucumber at the moment, as well as egg drop soup with lots of black pepper. When I've worked in offices I've always kept oat cakes, miniature boxes of raisins and apples in my drawer to combat midmorning tiredness and chocolate cravings.

Hummus with whole wheat Pita
100cal bag of popcorn
banana
yogurt/JELLO pudding/JELLO cups
fruit cups (though theyre so small!)
Special K Protein Bar (this is what I take to classes with me during the day)
Hard boiled eggs with pepper on them
the list goes on and on!

Low-salt turkey pastrami spread with quark cheese, sprinkled with black pepper, if I'm feeling like a domestic goddess sometimes I'll even throw in half a roasted sweet red pepper.
