Default question

So I made it through the TURKEY dinner yesterday but I have a question. When I started eating I was kind of hungry but after I started to eat I felt really really FULL.... But after I stopped eating about an hour later my stomach felt hungry again and the feeling of being empty come over me... I know after you eat that your food starts to digest but that fast? I was just curious if anyone had an idea of what that was all about. Has anyone else had this happen to them?

How much did you eat and what did you eat? Mostly carbs and protein? Are you thirsty? Sometimes the body mistakes thirst for hunger. Drink a 1/2 glass of water before dinner and after dinner.

Mine does it on the odd occasion; where I might eat a piece of cake and feel full, but half an hour later I'm still hungry. I've answered the call with other food, only to realise I'm STILL hungry. Sometimes the body "craves" certain foods. Not something you want, like chocolate and pickled onions, but rather, your body is missing something or getting low on something to keep you going.

If I have a few really low-fat days where I don't eat over 20 or 30 grams of fat, I'll crave it. Usually some butter on my toast will fix it, sometimes only a biscuit or two will fix it. I've never craved carbs- I eat them all day in some form or another. If I've gone a couple of days without fruits or veggies (sometimes it happens that I'm away for the day), my body will certainly let me know it because I'll eat fruits and veggies like a mad woman.

It sounds like really esoteric advice, but listen to your body and ask yourself: "What in the world do I REALLY want? What am I hungry or thirsty for?" Usually the answer will present itself after a moment or two.

Awesome...
Thanks for the insight. I was eating some turkey with potatoes and green beans. But I will start figuring out what I am not eating as much and maybe that will help. Thanks again..
