Default Back Again!

Hi everyone!

It's been a while since I last posted and I just wanted to re-introduce myself and start posting again. I'm Katy and 26 now, moved over the summer but still living in San Antonio, Texas and still trying to lose weight. During my move over the summer, I fell hard off the wagon. I have no idea what happened; I just let myself go. I'm here again to get back on track. This forum has been so helpful to me in the past and I definitely need that help again!

Does anyone have any tips to getting back on track?

Welcome back, Katy! I am glad you are here.

In terms of getting back on track, although this sounds trite, my best advice is to get back on whatever plan you were on and promise yourself that you will have at least 3 or 4 days in a row on plan. Once you get through those first few days, you are on your way and can keep building on that momentum.

I wish you the best in your weight loss journey!

Cheers,

J

Well, I just got back on track today! I went a little crazy for about a week and a half, but committed myself to "starting back" today.

I think what has helped this time is my attitude. Before, when I binged or fell off the wagon for a while, I would obsess over it and beat myself up for it and stress about how much damage I had done. And that made it really hard to get into the mindset of being good again. You don't have much room in your head for positive thoughts when you've got it all crowded with the negative.

Good luck and kudos on getting back on the right track. Sometimes starting over can be harder than just starting to begin with...good job!

Oh yeah- for me it's back to SBD phase 1! I think you just have to jump back into it headfirst

Thanks for the replies

It's really hard this time around because there's a huge amount of embarrassment lingering. I feel embarrassed for letting myself go... again. Does anyone ever feel this way?

Katy--I understand how you feel, but don't let your embarassment get the best of you. I am sure you are focusing more on your weight gain than anyone around you is. Think of the weight gain as a learning experience and move forward.

You can do this!

Cheers,

J

I think that's totally understandable. Don't be embarassed!! It happens to everyone. It doesn't matter if you fall as long as you can get back up and keep going!!

beerab - I am re-starting SBD too... phase 1, starting today!

You've just got to get over the embarassment- I think it's more embarassing to let go and never try again than to gain the weight and lose it again.
