Default It's official - BFP!

I got my bloodwork results last night and I am for sure pregnant! I'll get a due date on January 12th when I have my first OB appt.

I'm excited and terrified and all those good emotions! Still trying to process things, I think.

Congrats! That is so exciting!! I know I was in denial with this one, DH actually said something about taking a test before I did! Even then, I took about 3 tests and didn't REALLY believe it until our first ultrasound and saw our little bub. Definitely tons of emotion!

I don't think I'm in denial so much as shock (ok, maybe a little denial). We were sort of trying, but kept going back and forth about whether we wanted another one right now (and thus going back and forth on the use of bc). The doctors are serious when they say it only takes one time with unprotected sex to make a baby! I am excited, but I think terror is the dominant emotion at the moment. I'll get over it, I was the same way with my first one. My husband puts it nicest: "You're just not good with change, honey." hehe... ain't that the truth.

Lovinlife - no kidding! It seems like we think about a baby and we're pregnant. 6 weeks with the first one, one time with the second. I'm afraid that with the third DH will just have to look at me and I'll be pg! Don't get me wrong, I'm certainly not complaining... it's a pretty great problem to have!

skinnywish - Thanks, and congratulations back to you! Enjoy everything you can, it goes by so fast.

Congratulations!! Same thing happened here. I didn't want to get pregnant till next year, when I'd lost all the weight and maintained it for a while. Even then dh and I were going back and forth if we even wanted another one. A month before finding out, I had a touch of baby fever but quickly dismissed it because of my goals. We're doing the natural planning method, I obviously (now we know) Ovulated a week later then I should've where we had 2 days of unprotected s*x.
I was in complete shock and denial until I heard the heartbeat 2 weeks ago. My dh on the other hand was in shock in the beginning but is now thrilled. When I heard the heartbeat, I just melted and cried like a baby. It was beautiful. Its all about watching what I eat so that I don't fall into my old habits during pregnancy.
My midwife told me, instead of seeing this as defeat, to instead see in as another journey and adventure in my weight loss. To take what I learned and tweek it to have a more healthy pregnancy and a more healthier post-pregnancy outcome. That is my new challenge.
Wishing you all the best!
