Default Here I go again..... Need a buddy......

Hello 30 somethings...

I am returning to 3fc after a long time away. I am finally starting to feel fed up with my weight. My pants are getting tighter and tighter. I turned thirty this year and promised myself that would get this weight off before I turned thirty. As you can see, that didnt happen. I just need some motivation. Please help.

I would love a buddy! I was just going to post a thread myself asking for one. I'm 39 and swear I'll conquer this or be much closer to conquering the weight battle before by 40th birthday.

Howdy again. Congrats on being a new graduate nurse!

I'll give you a quick run down also
I'm 39 in WI. I have 2 boys boys 13 and 16. I am a stylist (just dont look at my 4 day no sleep pic from fest I used in my avatar!) My last weight was 193.4. I'm beginning my plan with 100% effort on the 26th. The plan I'm using is the metabolism miracle.

Long term goal is:
136 or what ever weight puts me back in my 6 jeans. So approx 60 lbs. Maybe more. Time wil tell I guess.

My Goal from Dec 26th until February 19th:
is to stay on my plan
get 64 oz water a day
no more than 2 coffee a day
exercise 30 min minimum 5 x a week
Be sure to eat every 5 hours
have a snack before bed

Our goals are slightly different along with our plans but we can still support each other and cheer each other on. Yeah!

How often do you plan on weighing? I'm still debating going a full 8 weeks versus weighing every Friday.

Wow . . . It looks like Im in the same boat.
Turned 30 this year, have 1 child (hes only 10 months) starting a new career - technically going back to an old one.
212 as of this morning as well, 5'4" tall and wanting to go down to 145 . . . guess that really does prove that you're never alone and some one else knows what you're going through

I also turned 30 this year!

I fell off the wagon right around the time of my birthday, gee I wonder!

I'm a nurse practitioner.....nurses are famous for telling our pts what they should do, but not doing it ourselves!

Hey thinnerbyjuly.

I am so excited to have a buddy. We can weigh in every 8 wks if you would like. That will be a first for me, but that should be fun to see more drastic results.

So I just looked at a calendar. If we weigh in, in 8 weeks that will be Feb 15. Sounds good to me. Im currently out of town until the Jan 3 so I will have to find ways to get exercise in.

Hey ladies... Im in the same boat as well! I would also love a buddy, so dandimae or anyone else I'd love to pair up and see the great things we can accomplish!

I am 33 married for 11yrs and no children... I have recently decided that I need to find who HEATHER is and along with that get these pounds off... I haven't been happy for a while and this is a huge reason! Hopefully once I get the weight loss going the rest will start to follow suit!

GOALS:

Get on my wii fit at least 5x a week
continue to drink at least 64oz of water daily
Lower my calories considerably
Eating every few hours

Feel free to private message me and we can share info so we can keep in touch when times get tough! LOL

Howdy howdy!!! How about we keep this thread going since there are several of us needing buddies?! The more support the better IMO

EMccoy~ I have had the flu the last few days and have taken in 0 food. I finally ate today (ok drank a atkins shake but still kind of food) . Since the plan I'm doing requires eating every 5 hours I decided to try hard to do that today and consider today day 1. So I'll weigh Feb 21. Sorry if that goofs anything up. Hope you find a way to get your exercise in. I'll be getting some once my fever breaks and I can breath.

I'm so glad you all want buddies!

You know, I think having a buddy can be one of the most important things when trying to lose weight.

Here are my goals:
Mini-goals:
Lose 15 lbs by Valentine's Day.
Begin the 100 push up program today!!!!
Also begin the C210K (couch to 10k) program on January 1.
Begin exercise program (probably ChaLean or something like it) on or about Jan 1 and no later than Jan 4.

Year goal:
Lose 75 lbs by July(ish) and keep it off. I'd like to lose 8 to 10 lbs a month.
Go to the gym 3 times a week: either the one I belong to or my neighborhood clubhouse.
Meet with personal trainer at least once a month to keep on track.
Drink my water every day! I'm at 1/2 gallon now and I'm going to work my way up to a gallon a day.
Eat healthier (DH and I have decided to eat more veggie based meals and only have meat 3 times a week!)
Plan meals and snacks out. This is so important for my success
Cut refined sugar out of my diet.

A little about me:
I am a 31 year old SAHM and have two kiddos. DS is 22 months and my DH is 6 months old. I am still breastfeeding DH, but I have SO much to lose, it shouldn't be an issue. Dr said I am good to go. I gained almost 80 pounds when I got pregnant with my son and then never really lost the baby weight before I found out I was pregnant with my DH. So I have a total of about 75 pounds to lose, depending on the day. Now I am so ready to get this party started...I want to be the woman I was when I got pregnant. I want to be a HOT MAMA! I'm glad you ladies are here for support!

Hi Dandimae~ you sure sound busy with a 22 month old and a 6 month old. Is the 6 month old a son or daughter? You wrote DH. I'm pretty sure that's usually dear hubby~ though it did make for a funny few sentences with me assuming dh is dear hubby

I still feel icky but better. I'm 99% sure the fever is going to beak as I'm getting hot! Hope so. I did get in part of a pre-made protein shake every 5 hours yesterday so 1 day following the darn rule! yeah

Ha ha! I meant DD. I get going and get confused sometimes! Just to be clear, I do not breastfeed my husband!

I hope your fever does break soon and you get to feeling all better!
