Question Exercise ?

I'm probably in my 5th week. I'm trying to get my cals and carbs to maint. mode. Still working on it, I keep falling just under them.
I did 35 minutes of walking on my treadmill today: 3.5 at a 3 incline. I burned 270 cals.
Should I slow down? I know I'm not supposed to diet but when I saw how many cal's I burned, it freaked me out. I'm planning on walking every other day.

Another question, I know I'm within normal BMI range now. I've read that I should only gain 25-35 lbs. How do I make sure that happens?

With my other pregnancies I was like a run away train, eating everything in sight. I guess I'm hoping my new eating habits remain the same. I really don't want to start from square one again.

Congratulations for the new baby.

I did exercise my whole pregnancy , they said is OK to do what you were doing before .
As for the gain weight ... as long as your baby is groiwn ok ....there is no need to worry.
I did exercise , ate helthy , drink a lots of water and i gain 13 pound at 38 weeks. my bmi was around 29.

Remember that the first 3 months you do not need extra calories.

God luck.

I'm keeping with the same exercise I was doing pre-pregnancy since my body is already used to it, I'm just modifying parts of it. (I'm in karate so no contact sparring or take downs.) I'm just mindful of my heart rate and making sure I'm not doing anything that is too much for me, I know that will be constantly adjusting throughout my pregnancy.

As for eating, I'm just trying to make healthy choices (though right now, with the nausea and vomiting, it's more just whatever will stay down). During my 2nd trimester my midwife always does a nutrition review where she looks at 3-4 days worth of my food intake and then we discuss it. I gained a lot of weight during my 1st pregnancy (I spent 7 weeks on bedrest due to preterm labor), and even though I stopped weighing myself during pregnancy during my next pregnancies I don't think I gained that much weight the other times. For some reason, my weight drops a little bit after birth but then I start putting it on after the babe is here.

great thank you, I needed to hear that. I kept reading that you have to go on maintenance and then add another 200-300 cals.
I have my fitday set to maintain my weight at 1900 cal's but mainly watching my carbs which should be at 65-75 carbs for pregnancy. With both numbers, I still can't hit them. calories, I'm under by 600 and carbs I'm under by 20 carbs.
I'm trying to exercise everyday, to make sure I gain whatever I need to for the baby without going overboard on food.
