When I was a Freshman in High school I hated my body. I was 175lbs and 5'0 and had gained that weight throught early puberty. I decided I would take action. I lost weight, cut out the junk, was a healthy eating freak, drank NO pop and worked out like crazy and went down to 135 in a matter of a few months. I stayed there all throughout high school besides the last couple months of senior year. I guess I was getting more comfortable, I had been with the same people for 4 years and was leaving them, so I didn't see why it was a big deal then. I always cared what everyone else thought, not just about my own health. After graduation I gained more weight and went all the way up to 215lbs OMG! THen soon after graduation I got pregnant by my boyfriend of 4 years and we had a beautiful baby girl. I weighed 260lbs at my last doctors appointment for my follow up after my baby.
My daughter is now two and I have totally slacked out trying to be healthy. I have lost a little weight, gained some back, lost it again and it's just a vicious circle.
I think I figured it out finally though!!! Since last WED. I have had NOT 1 pop, actually I have only drank WATER. I also started using my boyfriends AB lounge and broke out the work out videos.
The old me would have done a few minutes of the work out video and said screw this, it isn't worth the sweat and gave up 3 mins. in. Well guess what, I didn't stop. I did a total of 30 minutes Bob Harpers Weight Loss Yoga, and man does it make you sweat. There were a few times that I took a 5 second break, but I got right back into it. I didn't quit. I kept on going!!!
I felt really accomplished after switching to water, and working out and not giving up. Just thought I would share with everyone how much of inspiration all of you ladies and men are to me!
