On your first two weeks of induction you generally lose around 10% of what you ought to lose overall. I lost 20.5 lbs the first two weeks, 16 the first week then about 4.5 the next. It is very common to lose A LOT the first week then not as much the second, so don't get discouraged if week two isn't as dramatic. Good job!
Well it appears that 12.4 should have been a 2 week loss since I've already stalled :0)...lol
But I'm still feeling really good and positive....I've been dieting since I was 8 years old. I'm fully aware of the ups and downs....the trick is to keep a positive and rational attitude about it....*sigh*
Thanks for the well wishes all!!!
Glad to be here
Tracy
But no resting on your laurels, keep up with staying on track and the positive attitude and before you know it you will suddenly be at your personal goal.

Wow! That`s amazing! But I gather if I only stuck to it for a week and no longer I`d gain it all back?

If you only stick to any weight loss plan for a week and no longer, went back to old habits.....yes, you would gain it all back. This is not just exclusive of Atkins.

I had a moment of clarity this weekend when my boyfriend was eating his favorite things for his birthday, sugary cake and macaroni & cheese. I don't really miss many foods I can't have but I was like, mmmm those I do miss. But it's not like those are part of ANY healthy diet!!

It's occasions like that when low carb substitutes are a godsend! "Mockafoni & Cheese" & Chocolate Truffle Torte or a delicious low carb cheesecake.....and you won't miss a thing....and best of all, you won't be off plan!
