Default Anybody go from jeans size 26 to 24?

The first thing I'm working on is going from a tight-in-the-waist size 26 down to a 24 that fits comfortably.

My guess is that I'll need to lose between 20-30lbs to do that. I lose SLOWLY, so I'll be working on this for awhile.

I know everybody's different, but about how long did it take you to go from a 26 to a 24?

For me, it could take a year, seriously.

I think it took me about 20 pounds. I was just starting to fit into a size 26 when I started my journey at 278. Stick with it, even if it takes a year. I think it took me a 3 months.

I don't rightly recall exactly but I did start at size 28 and a year and a half later I am in a 14. Hang in there, it does happen

It really depends on your body shape, I weigh 283 and I'm an 18-20 when other people my size wear around a 24/26. If you're proportioned a certain way jeans will fit you differently than someone else, it'd be best to compare your body type to someone with a similar one to get an accurate result. Good luck with your journey, we'll be here rootin' for ya!!

I think I had to lose between 20 and 25 pounds to get into a 24. So about 3 months.

It was about 20 pounds for me. I lost somewhat slowly as well, but don't remember exactly how long this took.

I am a absolute pear shape so during the last trimister of my pregnancy, I wore a size 26, then lost 20 pounds giving birth and fit in to the 24s. I had all these jeans from my earlier heavier days that I get by with those during maternity times. I know easier said than done but find what works for you long term and stick to it even though results show little later!
Good luck and I am sure 3FC chickies will be there each day rooting for you!

Thanks, everyone! This means that it's *possible* that I could be into 24s by the end of this year. One size down for the holidays would be WONDERFUL!

I haven't been in my 24s in about 5 years.

Oh, I hope I can do this...

15ish pounds for me - but I am pretty tall. I made it into 22s after another 15 and am now working on my 20s!

When I walk for an hour everyday and cut out processed foods, sugar and HFCS, I tend to lose quickly in my stomach and can fit into my 24's. My stomach is what puts me in a 26 instead of a 24.

TOok me ages to go from a UK26 to UK24 - maybe about 35lb but then UK 24 and UK 22 were both very lose 7 lb later and I'm about a UK 20 now. Think I will be a 20 for a while though as they are much tighter but the size above annoyingly lose and a size 18 goes nowhere near me. Don't think you can really predict size changes that well as it depends on where you lsoe the weight, what shape you are, etc.

I think it depends too on how tight those 26s were. I think it took me more like 30lbs, but mine were pretty damn tight (I refused to buy 28s)

I started at a 26 jean. I usually wear skirts, but my 26 pants are just starting to be too big and I'm wearing a 24 skirt now (I don't have a pair of 24 pants). As of this morning, I have lost 20 lbs. I'm pretty top heavy and bottom small, but I weigh more than you do...so it should be about the same.
