Default burning caloires (how much is enough)

okay so i joined sparkspeople.com last week and i was looking through my plan. im around 5'4 and 183lbs and 20 years old. Sparkspeople says I should stay around 1200-1500 cal a day and should burn 220 cal in my workouts everyday. does this sound right? for some reason it doesnt sound like 220 cal is enough.

well i'm 5'4 and 20 years old and I usually aim to burn 400 calories per workout, which usually means I am working out for 40 minutes, which is recommended. i eat around 1,200 calories per day, sometimes more!

Yes it does sound about right to lose 1-2 lbs /week gradually, which is the healthy way to do it...
