Default Best of the Best Low Cal Frozen Meals

Once or twice a week I like to eat a low cal frozen meal. If you eat these, too, I'd like your opinion as to which ones are the most delicious! I will start off by saying these are my favorites so far:

Smart Ones Lasagna Florentine
Smart Ones Savory Steak & Ranch Grilled Flatbread
Lean Cuisine Stuffed Cabbage Roll

So what are your faves? I am looking for some more variety.

I like Tandoor Chef--either the vegetarian ball things or Palak Paneer. YUM. It isn't so healthy but does SO much to satisfy my taste for Indian. I also like Amy's Paneer, rice and Beans.

StellarGirl: I didn't know Lean Cuisine had pot stickers! OMG I have to try that one. I haven't really found an asian stir fry type one I like yet. The pizza one sounds good, too.

animallover: Kashi makes some great stuff - did not know they had frozen meals. I will have to try the southwest chicken.

Thighs: I have never heard of Tandoor Chef! But a good indian dish would add some nice variety. Is it found in a regular grocery?

Anyone else find the meals that have veggie sides - like broccoli - the veggies are yucky tasting? I don't think I have found one yet where a veggie side was any good.

My absolute favorite is the Smart Ones Chicken Mirebella. It's hard to find sometimes, though.
I also love the Michelina lights buffalo snack bites.when I crave a little spice!.. I eat them with fat free ranch, and celery sticks!

When I do frozen meals I love to get stuff that would be way out of my cal/nutrition range if they were a regular meal. So for me I like to go for pasta in cream sauce.

...and most recently I was really craving enchiladas. I got every single enchilada frozen dinner I could find. I finally found the flavor I was looking for from a "regular" cal style brand. Being able to check the nutrition info really helped....it was within my range and now the craving is finally gone!

Even though it is not technically a "diet" product, I like Stouffer's stuffed green peppers. They are quite low cal and very filling!

I like Lean Cuisine spaghetti with meat sauce. The serving seems quite generous for the amount of calories. I have this with a green salad and i feel as if I've had a real meal. (The sauce does not have a strong Italian taste, but I like it anyway.)

Lean Cuisine pastas - They satisfy my pasta desires while staying within my calorie limit. When I first started on this journey I ate many frozen meals. I got away from them because I learned to get more food for the number of calories. The Lean Cuisin pastas are one of the few frozen meals I eat now. Lean Cuisine Chicken Fettuccini is my favorite.

Emileigh, that is one of my faves, too. I usually add a little bit of fresh parmesean cheese and some chili flakes and it satisifies my pasta craving. =)

Hotwings, the potstickers are super tasty. I add a little rooster sauce (can you tell I like spicy stuf?) and some soy and I'm a happy camper! They are kind of hard to find, so if you see them, grab a few! =)

+1 Great stuff!

A few months ago I discovered that many of the "non-diet" frozen dinners are more filling and are low calorie too. I still buy Healthy Choice and Lean Cuisine, but there are several Marie Calendars and Stouffers meals that meet my requirements and taste wonderful. I tend to stick to meals around 400 calories and under. Many of them are 8 (or less) weight watchers points. Just check the label.

Some of my favorites are Pasta Balsamico (can't remember the brand, but it's the non-diet version of the healthy choice steamer bowl) and a stuffed pasta trio (ravioli, shell, manicotti) by Marie Calendars(?). Marie Calendars fried fish with rice and veggies is pretty good too.

I just found a great frozen General Tsao's and Orange Chicken meal at Target. Tempura battered chicken with rice, veggies, and sauce in a low point portion size! Yum!
