I do exercise.
My cramps usually go away during really intense exercise but come back even worse after. For example, if I'm running they'll go away, but if I stop to take a walking break I'll end up doubled over on the side of the road hoping no cars drive by and think I'm dying, lol. Same for workout videos - the breaks between exercises kill me. Ibuprofen helps with that.
I used to hate running or group fitness classes during my period because I'd worry about leaking issues
and I'd have to wear underwear with a pantyliner under my tight stretchy shorts/capris (boooo to panty lines, and uncomfortable elastic), or worse, a pad (embarassingly obvious). But since I started using a Diva Cup, I don't have those excuses anymore.... darn.
