Default TOM and exercising

Started my period yesterday and have no want to exercise. What does everyone do when they are on their period and feeling yucky, still exercise?

on the pill, my period was the only time i had a clear mind and i was so motivated for that one week. Lol.
Now im off, i feel tired before.. and in pain.. but... BUT as soon as i begin working out, i feel better for it.. All through the day and the cramps are non-existant.

I definitely exercise. It actually helps with cramps, for me, which is good.

It really depends on the flow. If it's really heavy that I don't, but otherwise yes. I don't have problem with cramps.

If the flow is pretty heavy, I would rather not exercise. I never have cramps though.

Yep, lessens my cramps too. And I find that the more I workout during the month the easier TOM tends to be... esp if I work hard the week before.

Well I actually did one of the most productive workout sessions I've ever done yesterday while on my period. I felt amazing afterwards and it definitely eased any cramps I may have got.

I do exercise.

My cramps usually go away during really intense exercise but come back even worse after. For example, if I'm running they'll go away, but if I stop to take a walking break I'll end up doubled over on the side of the road hoping no cars drive by and think I'm dying, lol. Same for workout videos - the breaks between exercises kill me. Ibuprofen helps with that.

I used to hate running or group fitness classes during my period because I'd worry about leaking issues and I'd have to wear underwear with a pantyliner under my tight stretchy shorts/capris (boooo to panty lines, and uncomfortable elastic), or worse, a pad (embarassingly obvious). But since I started using a Diva Cup, I don't have those excuses anymore.... darn.
