Default Curves Smart??

Someone might have already asked this , to my knowledge this gym has been around for awhile. I currently weight 240lbs at 5'11 , i would join a local family gym but i really don't want to be intimidated around people who are more active than I've been. I heard you have to add a cardio program outside of it but i'm gonna start walking my dog 30-40mins a day. Just wondering if anyone know if someone like me who haven't worked out in years, could actually lose some monumental weight with it.?

I've been going to Curves for several years. You certainly can lose weight but if you want it to be monumental you'll have to add the Weight Management portion of the program - best thing, it's included in the monthly fee, not extra. Or you could add any weight loss plan.
