Good Morning

Today we will finally get to bring in our car to be fixed. I was rear-ended over a month ago.
I also have an appointment with dd Dr. He will let us know how she is doing.
My dh goes back to work tomorrow. With him off we were able to do alot of running around. We were looking for an oak dining room suite. Decided to get it custom made instead of buying it from a store.
I have really been watching my points. I would like to drop 5 pounds. The Dr. said I could do a little exercise as long as I remember that I will be paying the price for it. I walked a bit in the mall yesterday. I am not to ambitious to go at it to strong. It just makes a difference knowing that I can if I want to.
Have a great day ladies

Dee

Slavika: Go print this out. There is a recipe there to make the cookies. http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//Forum11/HTML/001554.html

Dee: Glad to hear you are taking it easy on the exercise.
Lets us know how the Dr. appointment goes with your daughter.

Good Morning Friends,
It took me a while, but I finally finished reading #90 and 91. Boy, when you miss a few days it takes forever to catch up! I've also been trying to "catch up" on things around here from being gone for 3 days. http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//dizzy.gif I must say, though, DD did a good job of keeping up with things. Don't know about y'all, but DH would not know how to start a washer or dishwasher! He'd be in big trouble without ME! http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//lol.gif

Trudy: Too funny about the towel. You and Slavika together must be a barrel of laughs -- like the Two Stooges! -- Just joking, of course. : I loved your quote.
Dee: Glad to hear you were able to get out and about for a while shopping for furniture. It is less stressful when DH is around and we have support for the trials we must sometimes endure. Do let us know the report on your daughter.
Geri: Please let me know when the Joyce Meyer conference is in Houston. I got her magazine, but can't locate it right now. I did consider it, but had to get these other trips out of the way before making any firm plans. That would be so nice if we could meet there. I like your plan of simplifying life with less clutter. The problem for me is as soon as I get rid of something, I'm needing it the next week. http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//umm.gif
Lily: I'm hearing on the news today that CA is still having major power shortages with power outages expected today. How is that affecting your area? I have been posting a computer problem on a few sites trying to fix something on DDs computer. No answers in two days. I may email you and see if you and DH can help me out here.

I'm thinking about going to WW meeting tomorrow and get on the bandwagon with the rest of you. I realized that I think I can't go to the meeting until I'm motivated. But maybe I need to go to the meeting TO GET motivated! That probably makes more sense, right??? http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//spinning.gif

Gotta go run errands today. Will check in later.
Josie

Lily Thank you so much for pointing me to that recipe. I printed off a copy and maybe will try making some this afternoon. If I do, I'll bring some over to your house later this afternoon. LOL
Josie LOL LOL you had it right...TRUDY and I are like the "2 stooges"
I think I am worse then her though. Oh and JOSIE ~~~~~~~get thee to a WW meeting. All kinds of incentive, and lots of nice people.
I'll be back later. Right now I think I will go and bake some cookies.

Slavika: How, oh, how do you stay at goal weight with all the bread-baking and baking you do???? I know!! You share it with everyone and eat "only your share"??? That must be the secret to your success!!!!

I sure am pittilying (sp?) today. Haven't left for errands yet.
Josie

Josie: Email me and I will see if DH knows and can help. The meetings might help to get you motivated. Go for it!
The lights are effecting us now. They turn them off in different areas for 90 minutes. They are off at my house right now. Not at work yet but I supect it will hit at work tomorrow. Will be a nice and boring 90 minutes thats for sure.

Slavika: I will be waiting for my Cookies!!!!!!!! Hurry! But it is cold and the lights are out right now. So wait 90 minutes to come over! http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//lol.gif
Let me know how they come out. I havent tried the recipe yet, as I have lots of Bakers Cookies right now.

All - Your talking about baking and cooking just blows me away. I dust my stove once a week whether it needs it or not. If I baked, Slavika, I would have to eat. I didn't used to even get the batter to the over--just ate it right out of the mixing bowl. (See, I really have a problem.)

Geri - I am so glad your husband is fine after his bout with bladder cancer. It is a scarey time, all right. I am just very proud of you and the rest who are buckling down and getting it on!

This past weekend we had my brother and his wife and my sister and her husband to our house. We visited, ate out a lot, played games, shopped, went to the show and in general just had a great time. It was fun not to have any "kids" around for once. My brother and sister for years had a huge feud going and got mad at me whenever I saw the other one. But when my mother got sick, they had to work together and when she died, they just totally made up. Now they are best of friends again. My sister just lost 50 pounds on WW and WILL NOT eat a slice of bread or a baked potato or anything sweet. My brother is compulsive like that--he lost 25 pounds a few years ago and WILL not ever gain a pound back. Just wondered. Why didn't I get a little of that obsessiveness! They both think they will never again have a cookie or a candy bar. I just think that is so unrealistic, but I am the one struggling to get back. They are both sleek and thin.

Dee - Great to hear from you. Is you dd getting better? When she gets out of the hospital, you will be so relieved not to have to go to the hospital again. How is her school work being handled? Makes you wonder how single mothers handle this kind of crises , doesn't it?

Glenda

Hi Painter..If you like to eat - you qualify, please do join us . Tell us a bit about yourself.
Marsha..I am sure the .5 will be gone soon - just keep on following the plan. We all get those occasional "ups" when we don't expect them.
Geri..Had to about the "Tupperware Cabinet". I have one too, and for some strange reason I usually use empty cool whip, or margarine containers all the time. Our WW leader calls them "Ukrainian Tupperware". http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//lol.gif For the bread recipe, just omit the caramel coloring, you don't need it.
Dee..It must feel great being able to exercise again. I know how much you missed it. The custom made oak dinning room suite sounds wonderful. Getting the car back into its original shape will be nice too. Still keeping your DD in my prayers.
Lily..I checked out the recipe for the cookies. They look really good. I have never tried the original cookies, they are expensive! Did you ever try Christineu's recipe for the No Pudge Brownies? That looks interesting. The power shortages must be annoying already. We saw pictures of the semi trailer that crashed into the State Building in Sacramento yesterday. Looked awful.
Josie..Alas, I have to admit that the picture you have of us is close to the mark. Slavika and I sure do have our fun . You should definitely get yourself to a WW meeting. It is the best place to get inspired. Nothing like being accountable when you get on the scale there.
Slavika..After you bake the cookies, and when you are on your way to Lily's place drop off one at my door too. After all, you do have to head south anyway. Should we tell Josie that you do give away 3/4 of what you bake? Hmmmmm? http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//umm.gif

I am at loose ends this afternoon. Usually my Mom spends the whole day with me, but today she had some other plans. Maybe I should go over to Slavika's and help her bake. LOL Have a nice day everyone!

Hi Glenda..I guess we were posting at the same time, it takes me soooo long to type everything out. http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//dizzy.gif
I had to comment on your families obsessions. I too know a couple who don't eat realistically. She eats plain rice cakes and water at lunchtime, he will have 1/2 sandwich and a fruit. They basically only eat supper, and that is so spartan. They have been doing this for a while, and are very thin, but I wonder about healthy. They both are quite pasty and never have any energy. I believe in everything in moderation, it is the moderation part I usually have trouble with http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//lol.gif. I had to laugh about dusting the stove, and getting the batter to the oven. Very funny.

Hi All,

Thought I'd pop in and tell that about the scopy thing I had done today. It didn't hurt at all in fact I don't remember a thing aren't drugs great! http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//lol.gif The doctor didn't find any major problem just a small H(something can't spell it)hernia. So I go in for a Ultrasound on Tuesday to check out the liver ducts. I am sooooooo excited . I had the gallbladder removed 15 years or so ago so it can't be that? But the pain is so much like gallbladder pain maybe there are still stones stuck in the liver. I know my Grandfather had to have a second surgery. Won't that be just ducky http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//spinning.gif

Lily I'll bet you all are very upset over the energy thing . I can't figure out how the state ran out of power.

Josie when you asked Slavika how she managed to stay at goal it reminded me of yesterday at the morning meeting. The question was asked "How many points do you get to stay at goal" Well I said I stay real close to the losing points because I only exercise 3 or 4 times a week. Then we asked our co-worker who is 40 years old she maintains at 50 to 60 points but is very active. Let me tell you some of the people were very up set mostly ones my age. But I think we finally convinced them it's a age thing. As you get older your metabolism slows down . So for those of us who want to eat more points we have to get off out duff and get moving That goes for me too. And I have be doing well these last 4 weeks and it paid off . I finally started losing again after so long of up 1, down 2, up 2, down 1, you know how it goes. Well I didn't mean to babble on it must still be the drugs. http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//dizzy.gif I'll check in tomorrow

Hi Everybody LILY pointed me in the direction of "Christine's" Baker Breakfast Cookies and I have to say the gal came up with a good recipe. I will have to track her down and say, "Thank you".
Now you guys, I made her basic recipe and added one cup of frozen blueberries to the dough and they turned out very nice. I calculated the points and it works out to less then 4 points per HUGE cookie. I also made another batch with nuts and raisins using a small amount of applebutter and more of the yogurt, I think I prefer the blueberry ones, but they are both good and huge~~~~LOL did I mention they were HUGE.
Now Lily I packaged up one of each kind of cookie for you to try, walked over to your house and "ALAS" the house was in darkness and there was nobody home. So I ate them.
PAINTER Hi there, and welcome to one of the best boards on 3FC. We would love for you to join us. Jump right in, and you will soon get to know us. Looking forward to getting to know you too.
GLENDA you sure are on a roll today. Funny funny lady. LOL <IMG SRC="http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//lol.gif">
DEE nice hearing from you today too. http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//love.gif
JOSIE you know something strange about me, well actually if you talk to TRUDY she'll tell you lot's of strange things about me, but when I bake and I do bake a lot I FEEL like I have eaten a lot. It's like just making the stuff satisfies me.~~~~~~~well usually. hee hee
ALAS TRUDY you should have come over and we could have made a whole bunch of "breakfast Cookies".
One of the gals on the 60's board on Dotties wanted to know if she could use strawberries instead of the blueberries in the pie I posted on "our Recipe Site". Anyway we worked out a recipe and I made the "Marcy & Slavika Strawberry Pie" today too, and it is very nice. It would be wonderful on a summer's day or after a big dinner or just anytime. Another gal over at Dottie's shared her Winter Fruit Compote and I made that too today, so you gals know what I did all afternoon. Ok, I'll come back later and take a peek.
HI KAREN I guess we were posting at the same time. I am happy your scope went well.

Painter: Welcome! You will enjoy it here! Lots of freindly gals. (except watch out for Slavika. She eats other peoples cookies)

Glenda: I think they are both a little obsessive. Why deprive your self of some of the good things. As long as it is done in moderation there is nothing wrong with it. I just could not see myself not having a slice of bread or a cookie for the rest of my life.
You are to funny. Dusting the stove. http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//lol.gif

Trudy: That Truck that did hit the capital was pretty bad. The Guy must of had a screw lose to go 60 miles an hour to hit it. He must of wanted to die is all I can say. Pretty sad. Yeah the power thing isnt fun. It wasnt bad today as, I was at work when it hit home. But I expect tomorrow to be worse as it should hit the areas I travel to work and work it self. Its a mess when the traffic lights are out. No I havent tried the No pudge brownie recipe. I can buy the mix at Trader Joes so I didnt bother to print it out.

Karen: Oh Im sorry to hear about the hernia. Keep us posted on what the Dr says. I did take my book in to get Sprial Bound Wednesday. Its was suppose to be back today but it wasnt. But I get 10% of because it wasnt. Whoopie Im rich! 25 cents!

Slavika: I told you to wait til the lights came on!!!!!!!!! Oh man now Im mad. I was sitting waiting with Tea brewing alllllllllllll Afternoon. ALAS, ALAS, ALAS Im crying http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//insane.gif

Josie: Got the email I will ask hubby when he gets home and email you!

Last time. This board is acting weird!
