Wow! Everyone has been so talkative, and writing longer posts. I think it's great!

Essie, lots of people have never flown before. I read once that there are only two moods on planes, sheer terror and boredom. I definitely fit into the first category during takeoff and landing! Joe loves it. Two years ago I gave him a flying lesson for Christmas at our local (small!) airport (not O'Hare!). He loved it, and would eventually like to pursue it to get his pilot's license.

Dianne, your vacation sounds like fun. The best vacations we've taken are those that have included family. One of my favorites was renting a houseboat on the Mississippi River and sailing up to Minnesota. My bro. and his wife went w/us and the kids. It was a blast.

Terri, sounds like my house....being around the guys is really a "gas" http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//insane.gif Thanks for the instructions on how to reset the points calculator. I'm going to email my SIL and see if she wants it back.

Will check back later. Hope everyone has a great OP day. I've gotten in almost 40 oz. of water so far......am going to float to the post office and store when I go!

Essie,
Good luck. I hope it went well. What is Vytra? That savings is great!!!! This might sound weird but my favorite days are rainy days. I feel so cozy and I don't have to worry about the kids outside. http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//insane.gif

Jen,
Thanks for the new thread. These are going fast. WOW!!! This is great! My husband would love to get his license. Tell him good luck and be careful. Those trips up the Mississippi sound wonderful. Sounds so Mark Twainy. hat sounded intelligent:. LOL
We live on the Tennessee River. That is a thought. My boys think any subject that is about gas is so funny! My daughter is even laughing about them too. Of course she was never your typical "little lady".
Hi everyone. Can't wait to hear of all the news this week. EVERYONE GOOD LUCK!!!!!

Hi

I still don't see the bar at the right that let's us know it's going to page two. Is it me?

I went to my meeting. I lost 1 lb. but that's okay. I always look at it this way, if it's not much one week the following will be a good loss. The meeting was packed!!!! I heard that the Monday morning leader was really good & she was. It's too bad she's only there Monday mornings. I liked her alot.

Jen, you're doing great with your water. I never had a problem with water. I actually like it.

Terri, Vytra is my medical insurance. It's an HMO plan. It's great! I only pay $5.00 for meds. When I had my shoulder surgery they paid for most of it. I had a balance of $40. Not bad huh? It covers everything. If you join WW & prepay they cover a percentage. That special is good thru Feb. I think I'm going to go for it.

Let me go browse a bit.

Hi Dianne, Myra & Zoe.

Have a good night.

Good Monday Evening!

I feel really good today.....like I took some "happiness" pill. Don't know what it is. Today was a typical Monday.....long!!! Work has been less than enjoyable to me lately and while I'm not thinking of getting out of there, I wouldn't turn down something better. I'd love to work at home. Oh well, just a dream at this point.

Essie ~ you've never flown? I didn't fly until I was 21 yrs old and then again, not for years after that. I don't like flying and that's why I was the one who suggested we drive to Florida in March...of course, Greg JUMPED at the chance to go to the new casinos in LA and MS along the way. As for the cruise thing, we've been on about 5 of them and they are the best vacation. If you get a chance to go, don't pass it up ~ you'll love it! But oh, the food on those things..... ...you need to get to goal, minus 7. Ha! WTG on losing a pound. Hey, a pound is a pound is a pound, right??

Terri ~ I am going to look for that blue calculator Wednesday night when I go to my meeting. I loved using the gray one so I'll just bite the bullet and get this new one. Thanks for the info

Hi Jen, Dianne, Myra ~ time to go relax. Have a great night......getting closer to Wednesday and my weigh in....praying for 2 to make a total of 10. Crazy?? Yep!!

Essie! Go get a pound package of butter and take a good look, pick it up, feel it....you're not carrying that around anymore!! A pound is a lot. Good job on your loss. I really mean that.

Crossing my fingers for tomorrow. I have my doubts about a loss. Previously I would just skip my meeting if I thought I'd gained, then another week would go by, and then I'd owe them money for 2 weeks, and then I'd be a quitter. I'm going tomorrow and facing the music.

Night all!

Hi guys:

Essie -- congrats on your 1 lb. loss, zoe's right -- a pound is a pound is a pound!
Don't worry about the plane ride -- I predict that you will love it. No, Essie you're not the only one -- I don't see the bar thingy either, LOL.

Jen -- You and I are opposite when it comes to the plane ride -- my favorite part is the take-off, when the plane picks up speed going down the runway right before it lifts off the ground. And I love the landing as well. It's such a rush!!! But my hubby does not do well on a plane. He usually takes a 1/2 a valium before we get on. The trip down/up(?) the mississippi sounds lovely. Good luck tomorrow!

Terri -- You're really getting a lot of mileage out of this "gas" thing, girl, LOL. Hope you're doing well.

Zoe -- Good Luck on your next weigh in.
The cruise trips sound great. My husband is dying to go on a cruise. Maybe next year. Right now I'm busy planning for the Florida trip in July.

Can't wait to see the kids. My son said the baby, we call him "buddha", is really bad -- he says he does things he knows he's not supposed to do and just looks you right in the eye like nothing, LOL. He's kind of special to me because I was in the delivery room and saw him being born. It was amazing.

Myra -- hope you're doing well. Have a great week.

Have a great "On-program" Tuesday everyone.

Night,
Dianne

Zoe, My fingers are crossed that you get that 2 lb. loss you are looking for. But don't get down if you fall short. You are doing so great. There is always next week. But I am sure you'll do it this week. Let us know.

I'm hanging in there, still car-less. Hopefully it will be fixed by the end of this week. This really stinks. I hate being dependent on others, even just my DH.

Oh well, time to face the day. I have to go meet with my editor in NYC this morning. I hate having to travel 4 hours round trip for a two hour meeting. Well, that's life, I guess.

I hope all are well,

Myra

Just popping in to say goodmorning. I have to get to work a little earlier since we were closed yesterday it's going to be a crazy day. I like crazy days cause they make the hours go fast. I wish you all a great day.

Be back this evening
Love, Essie

Okay, I gained 2.0 pounds. I knew that I had some difficult moments this past week, and had a feeling that they'd show today on the scale. I'm not letting it get me down, I WILL have a loss next week! I still feel good about being a member of WW, and intend to be successful at this in the long run.

Today I spoke w/a woman who's been a member for 18 weeks, and has lost 24 lbs. She had gains 5 times during those 18 weeks. Now, if that had been the "old" me, I would have quit after the first gain. Now I realize that I will have ups and downs (as Terri has said before!), and part of being successful is accepting them and learning from them.

I'm off to take a walk.

Have a great day!

~Jen

Hi ALL!

Essie,
By all means go for it! That is wonderful!
1 pound is great! Every pound matters. That is 4 sticks of butter. "Weigh" to go girl.
The bar thing that I refer to is the thing you put your curser on to bring the page up or down.

Zoe,
The blue calculter is great. I really like it better than the gray one. Good investment.
Good luck on that 2 pounds!

Jen,
Good luck on your weigh-in. That is wonderful that you are staying with it. I use that butter comparison too. 1 pound is a lot.

Dianne,
Your grandson sounds so cute. Your son sounds like he is going to be running a lot. LOL

Hi Myra!
Hope you get your car working soon. Good luck woth your meeting.

Have a wonderful day everyone!
Terri

Jen - The way I see it is that you lost 4.8 lbs. and got back ONLY 2 lbs., so you're still ahead of the game by 2.8 lbs. (LOST). Those 2 lbs will be gone before you know it.

Have a great day, everyone!!

Dianne

Jen, I know it is hard when you gain, but think of each week after your WI as a clean slate. No use getting down on ourselves (BTW we all have gains from time to time. It is all part of being human.) Figure out what likely went wrong and do it differently this week and you will be amazed at how the numbers go down. I have faith in you. You can do it.

Hi

I love this group. I really feel the sincerity, care, concern for one another. We share something very special. I hope we'll be around for the long haul.

Jen, when I read your message this morning it was like if I was writing it. I was the same way when I had a gain. I would miss that week to try to lose it but then I didn't want to pay double. See you've come a long way. Don't sweat those 2 lbs. See how you just picked yourself up & went for a walk. Good goin

Okay Terri, I see the bar you're talking about. As long as I've been posting here I never noticed.

Myra, great advice you gave Jen. I like that. So how are you doing? Is your DH feeling better? I know he was having a rough time at work. I know what that feels like. I had such a bad day today that I just wanted to go buy a chocolate bar from the coffee truck but I didn't. One of the secretaries was really getting on my nerves!! But I survived. First thing I did was jump on my treadmill when I got home. Helps me destress(such a word?).

Zoe, I feel the same way about my job. I would love to work from home too. My brother is planning to open a gym in the future & he wants me to manage it. Can't wait!

Have a good night everybody

Essie

Thank you so very much for the support! You guys are the very best. http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//love.gif

Myra, I hope you get your car back soon, isn't it amazing how we depend on them? How was your trip into the city?

Essie, how great that you know what works to calm you down. Getting on the treadmill is better than grabbing something to eat. And yes, destress is a word in my book!

Dianne, thanks for the math! It is so great to know that all of us are here for each other.

Zoe, I know that I've been lucky in being able to quit my job and stay at home. My husband works but we also have our own corporation (he repairs xray equipment) so I do have the opportunity to work at home. I do the billing, etc. It's an "unpaid" position, but lots of perks!

Terri, hi! Looking forward to Super Bowl? I am, even tho my team isn't in it (ha ha, go Bears).

Have a great night. NYPD is on tonight, yeah!

Hi Y'all ~

tomorrow night is weigh in and tomorrow morning is weigh in for hubby. He does WW at home and I go to the meetings. It's a job for me though.....a little sample of my evening while preparing, eating and cleaning up dinner:

how many points did I have? How many points is this? How many points do I have left? How many points do I get? Sheesh, my head spins. http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//insane.gif

Jen ~ I was like you....if I didn't think I did well or if I thought I'd gained, I would just skip that week and try harder for the next week. Unfortunately, as I did that, time after time, I ended up not going at all and gaining 26 of my 47 pounds lost. So this time, I'm with you....face the music no matter what. accountability is what I know I need.

Dianne ~ get that cruise booked!!! you'll love it!!

Myra ~ Thanks for the pep talk. I know that even if I don't lose 2 this week, 8 last week was GREAT so I'm really happy. I will surely post it, up, down or same, when I find out. Hope your meeting went well.

Essie ~ manage a gym?? Now that would be a dream job....make money and exercise too. What a dream. As for me, I don't have any offers like that but I am open to any suggestions. Ha!

Terri ~ I love your reference to the pound of butter. I will remember that when I want something I shouldn't have.

Good night Y'all ~ I will post tomorrow night after weigh in. Thanks for all your support guys, you are all wonderful.
