I almost started a new thread after my reply. LOL I look at that little bar on the right side of the page and when it gets to a certain size I know it is going to roll over to page 2. Shortly after the 30th message usually. I'm going to make that soup, in the new book, this weekend. I can't wait. I hope it is good. I don't eat enough vegies.
Has anyone made it yet? Did you spice it up any? Do you have to?
It was so good to hear from you Essie. Are you doing better? How are things?
I'm just full of questions.
Well guys I weigh tomorrow. http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//nervous.gif Wish me luck!
This is my first after the Holidays.
Have a great Friday night!

I always spice everything up so you can't go by me. I made some for dinner today making a few modifications, and, yes, more spices. It was great.

Thanks Myra!
I'm getting the ingredients tomorrow. Can't wait. I love to eat vegies when they are good. It makes me feel like I accomplished something.

HI Y'ALL ~

Oh, I am SO ready for the weekend. I am really glad it's Friday...what a week!

I made a soup recipe that I got from my WW meeting called Cheeseburger soup ~ it was GREAT!! I'll post it in a separate post in case anyone wants to try it.

Myra ~ WTG on that pound! 6.6 is a great amount and in my book, a loss is a loss is a loss. Keep up the good work!

Essie ~ I know that commercial for SubWay. Have you seen the new ones? There are many more people that have done the same thing. Amazing. I love SubWay. Also, on the Chinese food subject, we love Chinese food and when I was on the WW program (6 months ago) and doing very well, I used to weigh on Tuesdays at 11am and we ate out every Tuesday night (badly I might add) and Chinese was the pick most of the time. You did great with your choice. I never did that good....always had a buffet and ate the sweet and sour chicken (minus the sauce but still....) Good goin'...keep it up.

Hi Jen, Dianne, Terri. Hope you're all doing well and staying OP.

Jarrod! That is the Subway guy!

Speaking of Subway. I took my kids to the food court at the mall. I picked subway and got a 6 in. club minus the cheese and had mustard only. I brought my own 1 pt. cheese and a packet of 1/2 pt. mayo. I brought a mug for my coffee (can't do styrofoam- it's a phobia or something) and I brought a mag. while the kids played video which is conveniently by the food court. I had a good op day out.
Luv y'all.

Good Morning Y'all ~

Just checking in before I head out to have my hair done. I had Special K and skimmed milk this morning. Although that's a great, low point breakfast, it bothers me that I had it so early. I do not usually eat breakfast that early so I hope that I'm not too hungry later.

Terri ~ I can't believe I've found someone else who will bring a mug somewhere, rather than drink out of styro-foam. Me Too!! And it's only coffee. YUK!!

Hello to everyone else.....gotta run. My natural blonde is taking over my dark brown hair.

Hi everyone! Can you believe we're on thread #36? Good for us all for hanging in there!

Essie, my husband and son love Chinese food. I'm only interested in eggrolls and crabmeat rangoons...the high point stuff! I love Mexican food the way they love Chinese, so we try to compromise and switch off.

Terri, are you talking about the garden vegetable soup in week 1 book? I made it, minus the cabbage, can't stand cooked cabbage...I added a can of diced tomatoes, left out the 1 T. of tomato paste. It's good, easy to make and have in the frig for when I'm starving. I usually spice things up also, like Myra. A little tabasco or hot peppers does a body good!
I'm sure your weigh in was fine...you're on your way to getting it done in 2001!!!!

Zoe, I have a problem w/eating breakfast early, I'm hungry by 10:30 or so. Usually I'll try to have a yogurt, it helps. Hope your weekend is verrrry relaxing after your hectic week. I love going to the shop to have my hair cut. There's something about lying there getting a shampoo by a guy! I used to go after work, once almost fell asleep!

I've got my meals planned for today. In spite of the fact that we're having a family day, where we play board games (we've collected dozens over the years and love playing them)and munch all day, I feel confident that I'll do great!

Later
~Jen

Zoe,
Yes, I have a mug in the car for anytime we go somewhere with styrofoam cups. http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//insane.gif LOL That is funny that there is someone out there like me. I'll bet your hair looks nice. I am due for a color soon. My grays are starting to sprout on my head a little. I have had grays in my hair (not alot) since my 20's. YUCK!!!

Jen,
Enjoy your day! That sounds like a wonderful tradition. I wish I had family close to do that. ENJOY!!!!
I loooove cabbage. I can't wait to try the soup.

Well guys,
I didn't get on the scale when I got back. I was afraid that it would bring
me down. I did go op right away though. I didn't do the exercises like I
would have hoped because I had an acute sinus infection and laryngitis.
But I did get on the treadmill toward the end of the week. I went to my
meeting this morning and lost 1 pound (since my weigh-in before Christmas).
I probably actually lost around 3 because I think I gained about 2 pounds up
in Ohio. It couldn't have been much more than that because my pants are
still comfortable although a tad snugger. They feel good now.
So I am sooo happy that I am a little under what I was. Now for the downhill
run. On to goal.
Brandon (my 9 yr. old) gained 5 up there (Thanks to two Grandmas) and he lost 4 pounds this
week. He just watched and exercised. He wants to lose 6 more.
Brittany ( My 14 yr. old) is re-joining next week. She is ready. She wants to lose about 15.
Now we have 4 weight watchers in our family. Bradley (our 7 yr. old, and skinny)said he felt left out
and we threw things at him. LOL j/k
Terri
194.6/160.6/135--------->Hopefully 150's next week.
Hi Dianne, Myra and Essie,
Hope you are having a great weekend!

Do any of you need to reset your blue calculater for the new winning points?
If so let me know and I'll post how.

Happy Saturday to all,

It's been a good day today. So far been OP. I'm not weighing in till Monday. According to my scale I'm up

I went shopping & I forgot the cabbage for the soup I'll pick it up tomorrow. Gotta get those vegetables in!

Zoe, from Monday - Thursday I eat breakfast at 6:00 am. I'm up at 3:45 am. I usually eat cereal, then at work around 9:00 I have my yogurt. I really have to stretch 25 pts.

Jen, good for you for planning your meals for the day . Have fun with your family. Oh, my favorite board game is Scrabble. LOVE IT!!!!

Terri, I remember when we first started we useto weigh the same. Now you weigh 10 lbs less than me. Then again, you've always been more motivated. Way to go Girlfriend

Myra, I have to spice up that soup. I try not to make too much of it cause I get sick of it right away. Hope you're enjoying your weekend.

Dianne, where are you? Hope to hear from you soon.

Have a great day everyone!

Essie

Good Morning!

Another weekend bites the dust (almost). I don't know what it is but I waste more time thinking that the weekend is over on Sundays that I miss the fact that it is still the weekend and a day off. http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//insane.gif

Hubby and I have been planning our March vacation this weekend. We are going to Florida (moved to TX from there) to visit family. We are going Friday night, 3/2 until the following Sunday, 3/11. I'm a little nervous for 2 reasons. 1) I want to lose enough weight that I won't look like I've gained anything since last we saw anyone. Remember, I gained about 26 pounds out of the 47 I had lost so I would really like to get close enough where I don't look like I'm "putting it back on", if you know what I mean. 2) I don't want to over eat. Vacations have always been an eating frenzy for us. So I'm really giving this some thought. We were going to fly but honey-bunch wants to also go to the new Hollywood Hotel and Casino in Shreveport, LA and also in Biloxi, the Beau Rivage (we've been there before)....so needless to say, we're gonna drive. No biggie, I don't mind that. So our weekend has been online, looking up the hotels, making reservations, etc. So I'm ready now, for a vacation.

Jen ~ how wonderful!! I love board games too! We used to do that almost every weekend with my brother and his wife....ah, those were the days. We now live in Texas while everyone else is still in FL and NJ. Have a great time and I know you'll do fine.

Terri ~ I'll be sure to bring my own coffee mug along on our trip to Florida!
What calculater at you talking about? The one from WW where it calculates your points, either adds it or not?? I have one and if I use the points from one group lower than I was using, it's still not right. It says 20-27 when it's 20-25. I think they should give us a break on the price of a new one (is there a new one????) since it cost me some bucks!!! Do you know something I don't about resetting it??

Essie ~ Good girl on being so OP! Don't think you went up girl ~ I didn't feel like I lost anything last week and went down 8 pounds!!

Well, I rambled on enough I think. Gotta go finish up the laundry so I can do something fun today. Have a wonderfully blessed Sunday Y'all.

Hi guys,

Sorry, I havent' posted in a bit, but been busy looking up vacation homes in Florida. Like you Zoe, we are planning a vacation, but ours is the first week of July. We will rent a 4 bedroom home with private pool in Kissimee and our Son, dil, their kids and my sister and her son will join us. Our older son and his wife are also going to meet up with us - they have a time share. I went to one of these homes last september with my son and dil and it was great. So, there will be a total of about 16 family members getting together, with 10 of us in one house. That's what I call "all in the family", lol. It should be fun. I hope you enjoy your vacation Zoe.

Well, today was my first weigh-in since starting over and i was in for a shock. I've been so on-program, I expected at leat a 2-3 lbs lost, wound up with a gain of 2 ounces, which of course is nothing. But when you work so hard and are expecting a loss, well, you all know what I mean. I spoke to the leader and she asked me when the last time I ate was and it was at 1:30 this morning. My husband and I went out to dinner and a movie in the city and wound up coming home at 2:00 a.m. So she said that bagel at 1:30 could have a lot to do with it. Plus she said sometimes your loss doesn't show up until the next weigh in. Oh, well, I'm not gonna beat myself up or try to figure this one out. I'll just continue to stay on-program as best I can and hope for the best next week.

Hi terri, jen, essie and myra. I'm so glad to hear that you are all doing well. Congrats! I will join you in celebrating a loss next week, I'm sure of it!!!

Have a great sunday, everyone.

Dianne

Good news from you, Terri! It sounds as though you've gotten right back "in the saddle" and are doing allright with it. That's good your kids are conscious of eating healthy and don't want their weight to go up. You must be setting some great examples.

Dianne, the scale can really disappoint us sometimes...as we all have come to find out. Even tho you didn't post a loss, this past week you've sounded very positive about being OP again. Try to remember what good you're doing your body by staying OP. I know you can ignore what the scale said today, and stick to it this week! We're here rooting for you.

I did okay yesterday, had lowfat fajitas, rice, and WOW tostitos....but then had a couple of margaritas. That was definitely not on my agenda for the evening! So, I went over on points, but will make up for it today. I am only going to focus on today, and do the best I can.

Spoke to my SIL yesterday, we've chosen the first week in April to go to Mexico. Now I'm going to go into panic mode; that should help me stay OP!

Terri, yes, I'll take the help in recalculating the points finder! I don't use it to track, I use it to compute recipes in magazines, etc. My SIL had given me hers, as she no longer used it. Now she's joined WW, I'd like to recalculate it and give it back to her as a surprise.

Essie, Myra, Zoe......HI!
