Default feeling kinda crappy..

Already!

Today's my first day on Atkins..

So far today I've had:

B: Omellette w/two eggs, cheese, peppers and onions w/3 slices of bacon

S: Atkins Bar

L: Chicken Breast w/Broccolli

S: 2 slices swiss cheese and some pepperonni.

Dinner I'm unsure about...I have dinner plans to go to a Hibacci type restaraunt...I'm planning on getting the sirloin and shrimp dish (minus the rice) and I believe it's sauteed with pepper/onions/bean sprounts etc.

Anyways...I just feel very tired today...my fingers are also kind tingly...(like they are asleep) and eh em ...am having some digestive "problems". Not to mention being completly STARVING!!!

Is this what I can expect during induction??? HELP!!!!

Sounds like you are experiencing "Atkins flu"....which is common. While its annoying, the good news is, it does go away once your body has detoxed from bad carbs
Your menu looks good except for the Atkins bar. I know they are advertised as being "appropriate for Induction"....but, that is a marketing ploy by Atkins Nutritionals Inc. The bars contain soy, milk & peanuts....none of which are on the Induction acceptable foods list. Not to mention the net carb counts on those things are totally bogus. You might want to read this article to educate yourself on the true story behind sugar alcohols, bars etc.

You CAN do this!!
All the best to you!!

After a few days, I think you'll feel great. Plus, Atkins is the one plan where you DON'T starve! Those hunger feelings become almost completely surpressed once you go into ketosis.

One other suggestion is to skip the onions the first two weeks, they are fairly high-carb vegetables. You are detoxing from a lifetime of sugar so be kind to yourself, give yourself lots of love and pep talks, and you will feel FANTASTIC in a few days!!
