Default Dreaded Second Week

I have heard this many times & have heard it each season of The Biggest Loser... I will be starting my second week as soon as I have breakfast today. Did anyone maintain/gain the second week? Is there any way to avoid the "dreaded second week"? Anyone have a significant loss? Any in put would be great! Thank you!

Nope. The second week of each time I've lost weight was losts. The first time it was like 8 pounds and the last time it was like 4 pounds. I usually hear the first few weeks you get big losts.

never had any issues with my second week! if you are working the program honestly and 100% then really why would you have something to worry about?

Ditto Ms Velveteen, here. Work the program and it doesn't really matter what the numbers say, because in the long run, the weight WILL come off...

Thanks ladies! I guess I watch too much of The Biggest Loser and I listen to Jillian talk about the dreaded second week... haha
Good news though-I went to my first weigh in since joining weight watchers this morning and I am down 8.6 pounds this week! From 205.2 to 196.6!

I honestly would hold too much to anything that is on Biggest Loser (although I'm sure there is some good advice on the show, too). They are on a very strict diet and workout schedule. That doesn't happen in the real word too much.

Looking back my first week I lost 6 pounds and the second week I lost 4 pounds. I really wouldn't sweat what BL says sometimes It is a cool show but there are a lot of discouraging cons associated with the show to take them to heart as the truth. I do like the show for the most part though!

Thanks! Today is another day down and I am just going to stick to the plan... take it day by day... as long as I stick to it, what shows up on the scale is out of my hands! Thanks soo much for the warm welcomes and great advice. I know what you mean about The Biggest Loser not being very realistic. I know i don't have an additional 8 hours per day to work out!
