Default Biggest Loser UK

Hi everyone,

I see a new season of the UK version of the Biggest Loser is kicking off this Monday. It's being aired at 4pm this Monday on ITV1. It's a bit of a strange time to show it, in my opinion. Kate Garraway is hosting.

Anyone planning to tune in?

The last time I watched it, Jodie Prenger took the title and she has since gone on to star as Nancy in Oliver! in the West End. She has done really well!

I wonder if they'll show it over here? I've seen a couple of the UK ones on here, although, after the fact...just like the audionts for Joseph are on now...LOL...the US one is nearly finished, only two more weeks to go and those people are such an inspiration..some are still heavy because they came in at three hundred and four hundred pounds, and the things they can do now, is amazing.

I love watching this programme, but Im not sure how well ITV will do it.

Regarding Jodie though, I was gob smacked when she came back at the final. She was just so stunning. I actually kept the recording and showed my mum who doesn't watch it, just to show her the transformation. I couldn't believe it.

I've set it to record although I've never really been that keen on UK versions of US shows. On the plus side they will most likely weigh the contestants in stones so I won't need the convert function on my phone to figure out how much everyone weighs!!

Does seem like a strange time to show it but never the less I will either record it or try to get home early to watch it. Biggest Loser Australia is favorite out of all the biggest losers.

Whenever I watch a biggest loser show it gives me the extra boost to workout.

I like the Australian version too.

I have read the host A.J Rochester's books and I think they are brilliant - very inspiring! I always go back to them when I need a boost!

Biggest Loser Australia is starting next Monday (4th May). I saw an ad for it earlier. It's on at 8:30pm on Sky Real Lives.

The only bad thing is it looks like the series they have already shown over here as some of the people looked familiar.

Well I'm going to able to watch it, since i'm off work for two weeks. I remember watching when Jodie lost all that weight. Like myself who must be stone heavier than my ticker it's clear that low weight was too difficult for her to sustain.

I've been to the gym today in actual fact. Trying to get myself back on track
as I havent had the best of months in anyway.

Hey Chris good to see you how is your weightloss journey going these days?

Take good care everyone

I watched this today and was in tears. I was particularly moved by the young people who were only 21, 22 years old and are carrying so much excess weight around. I really hope the show helps them.

It made me cry as I think it reminded me how far I have come but also how far I have yet to go.

Anyway, it has given me a much needed kick up the rear - I'm getting the trainers on and off to an aerobics class tonight!

Biggest Loser had me and my friend is tears as well My heart went out to her and all of them but they are on a journey that will hopefully change their lives forever. Glad to see the biggest loser will be on everyday this week. 40 episode in total according to the tv guide

I was a little shocked by the father and son team considering they have seen first hand the damage smoking has done to their wife/mother but yet they smoke 40 a day.

I'm a smoker myself (horrible habit) but I find that when I get into a workout routine and exercise daily I don't crave nicotine and hardly smoke.

I hadn't realised until the end of the programme it was going to be on every day. That's good - although I will need to see most of the episodes on catch-up due to the timings.

My heart really went out to Katey and to Lisa Marie and the young boy (the smoker). They are so young and so desperate to change. The smoking family really made me think how heartbreaking it was that these people cared so little about themselves that they would systematically do so much damage in so many ways to their bodies.

It definitely inspired me back into action - I ended up doing two aerobics classes last night. It was like a bit of a warning - if you don't continue to tackle this, that's what you might end up going back to - all that pain and unhappiness.

I watched it also, as off sick atm stupid sinus infection! I thought Eunice was awesome so determined it made me really motivated to go for it, if those people can do so can we? after all they are just like us! I think Katey is gonna do really well though she seems so unhappy.
