Talking I'm back...and engaged!

So I already posted a thread w/the I'M BACK yadda yadda.. lol but now I want to share WHY I'm back! My boyfriend, eh-hem, Fiance! popped the question on his birthday which was March 14th... I didn't get the ring until the 23rd b/c it had to be resized- darnit he was close w/the ring size but since i'd gained my weight back(30 pounds) it had to be bigger! anywho- We are planning a May 2010 wedding and I want to meet my goal before that- I lost 30 pounds in about 6 months before so I think i can do it if i put my mind to it and STAY ON the diet! I'm so excited I went to try on dresses and eehhhkkkk I'm going to try them on again once i lose some weight... SO EXCITED! and Happy to be back to the best forum in the world!

Congrats!!! I just got engaged too on March 6th and we're thinking of an April 2010 wedding. I'll be trying dresses on when I go home in July so I'm with you there trying to get myself in the best shape I can before hitting that bridal shop this summer.

Hey! Congrats to you other two girls. I also recently got engaged! But we are planning on a October 2009 wedding--eeek! One thing I've learned- don't go totally by wedding dress sizes because they typically run smaller than "normal" sizes. I thought about buying my dress soon, but I've already lossed two sizes and will wait a little closer to my date. YOU GO GIRLS!!

Thank you for writing this - I just bought my dress and I was kinda miffed when I had to order it a size larger than I normally wear.

Congrats QuadLuvinGirl! My wedding is shaping up to be a Big Fat Indian Wedding, except I'm trying to stay on routine to get in shape. I'm also trying to encourage my been-pudgy-all-his-life fiance to lose some weight so we can get rid of the "fat" from the wedding. I know there will be lots of Indian outfits involved. If you've ever seen a sari worn on TV or in a movie, there is a part of the sari right above the skirt where your stomach can be seen, especially from the sides. You can cover your stomach up with the fabric if you want, or you can be a little revealing. So for the first time ever, I've been doing ab exercises every day!
