Default Flattering Sundresses

I work at a university where the dress is very casual over the summer. I have this dream of this summer wearing nothing but sundresses everyday! The problem is that most sundresses I'm finding have these tiny spaghetti straps (so not flattering on my big shoulders) and/or thin, clingy material.

Has anyone found any great summer sundresses that actually are flattering on a size 18-20?

My ideal is something cotton, bright color (flowered pattern!), a wide strap, fitted at the chest and very flowing skirt (almost 50-ish style). And of course it shouldn't cost a lot, since hopefully they won't fit in a few months anyway!

There are several at Lanebryant.com. Here's what I found just by searching for dresses there. You can see some sleeveless dresses, but with wide straps instead of spaghetti straps.

Also, you might want to check out Dress Barn if they have a location near you that sells plus sizes. I remember I used to get some very cute sundresses from there...

amken--do you have a Ross near you--I love their selection and here it's gotten to be a regular thing every Spring for Ross to have good sundresses..

I have broad shoulders and don't typically do spaghetti straps...my sundresses have straps that are either 2 finger or 3 finger widths....my dresses have a fitted bodice and slight, slight A-line and come to the knee but before my calves get big.. I think it's the most flattering since I am leg challenged...my sis-in-law likes hers a little longer because of the shape of her leg

If you don't mind buying online check out newport-news.com, they are relatively inexpensive and always have tons of dresses. If you want to go out shopping check out Old Navy, Target and JCPenny or if you're a true bargain hunter like me go search through stores like Burlington Coat Factory, Marshall's, TJ Maxx, Ross or Last Chance, all of these stores are hit or miss but you can get some really great deals if you hit!

Edit: Here's a cute one from Newport News, it's $39, comes in sizes up to 18 and the big bow sash is removable (which is what I would do!)

LINK!

I recommend Ross as well. They have any kind of dress you can imagine in all sizes and an addes bonus they are inexpensive. The only down fall is that with any designer discount store they do not have the same merchandise week to week but if you look often you can find amazing deals. I have on a dark red wrap dress I bought last summer and I have gotten so many compliments today it is funny and guess how much I paid for it $9.99. Can not beat that...

WAL MART!

Wal Mart has some really cute summer dresses -- empire waist, thick straps, patterns. I'm not sure whether they have them in size 18/20 but I do know that they had them in up to XL. Usually they have similar dresses in the Plus Dept. (sometimes cuter!) but with small changes in pattern, etc.
