Default throwing out food/leftovers

I've been so used to eating leftovers for lunch, or later in the evening. I can't believe the one slice of left over cheese pizza from Friday is still in the fridge!!

It's so hard with kids, I found I was cleaning up their plates (literally). I hate throwing food away but I know I can't eat it either.

Since joining ww, now our leftovers don't work for me for lunch, kind of a bummer since I have a couple of picky eaters in my house aged 3 & 6!

Anyone else going through the same thing?

I make enough dinner to give me one left-over portion for the next day's lunch. It is alot of cooking but it works well.

I had a HUGE problem with cleaning up my kids plates. It all went down my throat. NOT good.

I have realized that it is more sinful and more wasteful to eat foods that are unhealthy or to eat food while not hungry, then it is to throw it in the trash can. I can either throw it in the trash can or be the trash can. I no longer choose to be a human garbage disposal. In the trash it goes.

Can you freeze some of those leftovers for the kids, and give it to them for another meal, later in the week?

I also find that counting calories, for you it's points, helps greatly in cutting down on "nibbling". It's so easy to graze yourself fat from a nibble here and a nibble there.

It also helps me immensely to distinguish "their" food, from "my" food. It's "theirs" - it doesn't belong to me. It wasn't intended for me. In other words - hands off buddy.
