As part of my new years resolution I determined to develop new good habits, and kick some bad old ones. The thing is, I can't really come up with very many......so I thought I could get some ideas from you!
What are your good habits?
and / or
What are some bad habits that people might want to eliminate?
Thanks!
ETA - This is not necesarily about weight-loss. I'm looking for any kind of good habit from eating more vegetables to walking around on a rug making fists with your toes.

My good habit is thinking about something for at least 15 mins before I eat it. I plan my whole menu before the day starts and if I want to add a treat (like a piece of candy) then I make myself think about it for at least 15mins- I usually don't have it after thinking about it for that long

Wow! I bet that really does cut down on snacking. I've been trying to not eat anything that I didn't plan 24hr in advance, but sometimes that just doesn't work. The 15 minute rule would be an excellent backup.
Not diet related, but one of my good habits is... when a compliment about someone crosses my mind or I hear someone compliment someone behind their back- I tell them. I believe that if you have something nice to say about someone... tell them!
I also made a similar New Year's resolution - to become a better person and take better care of myself all around. Diet and exercise have been a big part of it, but I've also started to take care of my body in other ways, like working on my skin, hair, nails, and teeth, taking vitamins, working on flexibility and balance as well as strength and cardio, and trying to develop exercise habits that fit into my life better. I love going to the gym, but sometimes there's just not time, so I started adding things like yoga moves while I'm in the shower (half moon is great!) and doing some stretching first thing in the morning.
Actually, mornings are a big part of it, and I, like onestar, was never a breakfast person before. I'm still not super hungry in the morning, but I've started having a 200 calorie breakfast, and stretching in the morning, and just giving myself a few minutes to focus, choose what I want to wear, do my hair, etc. instead of waking up at the last minute and running out without any consideration to these things. I feel so much better, and so much more motivated and happy all around because of these simple things.
One of my good habits is that I make a conscious effort to be really nice to everyone I come across. Whether it's the clerk at the grocery store or one of my professors, I try and be really friendly. I normally wouldn't even think about this, but today when I heard a lot of my classmates saying horrible things about one of my professors (personal attacks, nothing to do with her being an unfair grader or anything like that), it occurred to me that not everyone is nice like that. So, I figure maybe me being friendly and telling my prof. to have a nice weekend since she was standing by the door as I was leaving... maybe it makes a small difference. More genuine friendliness in the world couldn't hurt.
My good habits are:
-taking a multi vitamin and folic acid every day
-always eating breakfast
-trying to use positive reinforcement on myself(it seems kind of cheesy, but it works!)
