Red face Darn Easter Candy

I have gained 11 pounds in a week and a half... OMG! I am so disgusted with myself. But I am getting rid of the disgust and pushing thru. I didnt lose 30 pounds to regain it all back in a month.
I have eaten so bad because it was "easter" like that is an excuse to gorge myself with jelly beans, pizza, fatty foods, and all the salt in the entire world. I am praying that some of it is water weight. But I guess time will tell. I was hoping that if I was able to put it on in a week and a half then I will be able to take it off in the same amount of time. Thanks for letting me vent.

I weigh five pounds more today than Friday and I blame my weakness for the Easter candy... Water water water for the next several days for us!

Good luck! You are doing great!

Don't give the scale that kind of power over you! I say face the scale, find out your number ( it may not be as bad as you think it is ) and then form your plan. Good Luck

Definitely face the scale - then when you lose you'll be able to celebrate. If you don't get on for another week and then find you're the same as last time or higher, how depressing; if, despite that number, you'd killed a candysplurge, that would be really exciting.

Oh, I know the feeling. Easter ham and all the fixings, PLUS the dreaded TOM for me - and I become the human sponge! Sucking up any and all extra water! Even my fingers feel swollen, I can tell in my knuckles.

Water water water water water...and flush all this out of our systems.

Ham will do it to me EVERY time. I agree that most of it is water... and the rest? Well you'll just have to take it back off. I think we need these lessons every once in a while and it's not a bad thing.

I was up 3 lbs in one day from just eating like 2600 calories instead of 1800. Isnt it strange that it can vary that much from ONE frigging day? How frustrating!

I haven't had a binge in ages, but I had one with the Easter candy as well. The good that came out of it? It made me sick and sick enough to get really serious about committing to stay OP.

I had a few pieces of Easter candy on Easter day as well as a large piece of cheese cake. About 7pm I said out loud...announcing to the whole family, EASTER is OVER. I told the kids to hide their candy and they did...very well I might add. I looked, (not to eat it, just to see if I could find it ) and it is no where in sight. LOL The thought of having to "re-do" makes me sick enough that I don't binge anymore.

Dek6 you just have to get back on the wagon today. No use feeling down and bummed. 3 days of clean eating and lots of lemon water will make you feel like a new person. You have worked too hard to be controlled by a jelly bean.

I feel ya... I was up six pounds on Monday morning. We just have to get back on track and stick with it. On the upside, there are no major holidays in the near future.

Well I weighed 233 yesterday morning and I weighed 228 this morning. So I am down 5 pounds. I think that was from all the sodium. Now I only have 6 more to go. Half way there....
