Default Silly NSV!

So usually when I hop on my Wii Fit to do the body test, my "Mii" quickly expands as the BMI chart rises. I always dread this moment... when the stupid little voice says, "That's obese!!!"... which translates in my mind to "Teehee! You're a fat arse!"

Well this weekend, the little voice finally said "That's overweight!" And I must say that I felt less tempted to throw the #@$^%&# balance board at the TV screen.

I just bought a Wii fit not even a week ago. I'm SOOO close from being obese to overweight - prob a couple pounds away. I can't wait to not hear those words too!

Good job!

Oh man that is awesome. I need to get that wii fit so when I finally hear that I am only overweight I can celebrate it with my mii.

I work with teens, and we just recently got a wii and wii fit, and I had the same experience. I was royally P.O.ed that it said I was obese (right on the cusp) and it made me go on a rant about how inaccurate a true measure BMI is...etc etc...I am still right on the cusp, so I can't wait either for it to read overweight instead of obese. Woo!!!

What was cool is that my reaction helped make all the other teens comfortable with whatever their's said. They all got on, and several had obese or overweight too but they took it with a good attitude. I was happy for that. It is nice to feel that I am helping kids get inspired to get healthy while avoiding making them feel like crap, as many other people and approaches do.

Zephra, that's awesome! I am very anti-BMI too. I just like that it sort of gives me a benchmark on the Wii... it's just another way to view progress. But GRRR! It is still very frustrating! I can't tell you how many times I've wanted to *****slap that person... whoever they are! Same goes to the female trainer... "YOU'RE A LITTLE SHAKY!" "YOU PUT YOUR FOOT DOWN, DIDN'T YOU!"

GRRR!!!!

Haha I was on my Wii today, I have goal to meet for Saturday that will put me at the weight that means I am no longer going to be obese, but fall into the overweight category, it's only 1lb away at the moment, I am so excited!!

I have to say though that there is nothing more irritating then seeing your Mii balloon up, I was so upset even though it's a silly game, but I ope it will shrink hen I meet the goal, also it means my Mii will be the smallest in my house haha! Me?! Competitive?! Never...
