Default Socks - a summer dilemma

So every year I have issues with socks in warm weather. In the spring and summer, I typically wear open-toed shoes or slingbacks to work. The problem is, if I wear knee highs my feet typically "slide" in the shoes and aren't particularly attractive when I wear open-toed shoes. I have other issues with knee highs, such as they cut off the circulation below my knee

But if I go without any socks, my feet sweat ewwww.

What's a girl to do! Are there options out there I'm unaware of? What do you do?

I have no idea where you would buy these. but they are essentially knee-highs.. for just your feet.

They are called Sockies.
You know when you go to try on a pair of shoes and you aren't wearing socks, they usually make you put on a pair of these weird sock things. This is them!:

You can buy those pretty much anywhere. They actually have ones that are a little smaller as well. Look at wal-mart or target. Anywhere you can buy shoes and socks should carry them.

I wear those in some shoes in summer, as well. You can get them just for your toes as well, for shoes with open heels.

But if I'm wearing open-toes or similar, I use a good foot cream (the night before), and then something with powder in it to absorb the sweat.

And it helps to wear real leather-shoes, not plastic stuff. You sweat A LOT less in them!

I wear sandals without socks whenever possible, which is most of the year in So Cal. When I do wear closed shoes, I like the support hose - they last forever (instead of running after 2 wears), they feel really good, they actually stay up (regular ones are terrible, they never stay up on me), and I just keep my eye out for ones that look nice (they're out there). They end right up at the knee and don't cut off my circulation. I actually have a lot more trouble with ankle socks cutting off my circulation.

Also, try talcum powder or corn starch (not baby powder).

If you're wearing nylons, your feet will still sweat as with not wearing anything.
My suggestion: Get a nice pedicure, go sockless and enjoy the summer breeze!
Forget about the sweaty feeling and just enjoy it your pretty toes

Talcum powder and leather or natural fibre shoes. Plastic and cheaper shoes make you sweat more.

They also make pantyhose that are toe-less. I found some a while back at Kohl's, I think. Maybe it was Macy's. Here are some that I found online in a knee high: http://www.amazon.com/Berkshire-Toel...ref=pd_sbs_a_3

They make them in full lengths too if you ever wanted to wear a dress or skirt.

This may sound strange, but I tried it myself because my feet sweat too. Try putting deoderant on the soles of your feet. It works for the armpits right?

I would be afraid that it would gunk up my shoes.. haha. I had that happen with foot powder once. Maybe I went just a little bit overboard...

They also have a version of the socky's that are toeless as well. Its pretty much a band that goes around your foot. I had a fashionable pair once.... fishnet style, lol....but i wore them on my hands, hehe....but they are available, although I dunno where...Payless usually carries the interesting stuff though.

I prefer terry insoles like PumpPals (I get Sockless Insoles for my walking shoes). I get several pairs of each so one is always ready when the others are being washed.

There are also the Peda Bella peds type of socks in various shapes that work well too.

I've seen both types of products in Target/WalMart type stores as well as pharmacies like RiteAid. They are usually where the hose/socks are.
